Frequent internet disconnections

I have Verizon DSL, using a Westell VersaLink 327W router/modem. For the past few weeks, we suddenly began experiencing frequent disconnects, especially when playing World of Warcraft or Company of Heroes. Verizon sent a new router, and also sent technicians twice to work on the telephone lines/equipment, but the problem persists. At random intervals, the internet light will go dark, then the DSL light will begin to blink, and the connection is lost. Ten to thirty seconds later, the DSL light will burn solid again, then eventually the internet light will begin flashing again and we can reconnect. It's driving us crazy-- any ideas?
