Hello Jilinzels the problem with your tv set is not the backlight, this problem is usually caused by the inverter board which supplys the power for the backlight to work,for the backlight to your tv set model # contact philips they have one in stock and ready for shipping, if you would like to take my word click on the link below there is a new inverter board for your tv set,you can change this board out yourself with the instructions that come with the board just be very careful when doing so,hope this helps if you have further questions feel free to ask me thank you.
