Hi,

Get a reliable extension cable , ensure the cable is fine , better getting a new one if you are not sure.
Use the extension to test the TV on a different main socket.

If it does not work, if you are in UK check the fuse located in the power cord plug, replace it.

Try also leaving the set unplugged for a couple of hours.

If still no luck, then there are two possible situations.

1 TV stays in standby and does not start. led may be steady or blinking.
That means that tv is on protect mode because an internal fault is detected. There are many possible faults that can cause Protect mode. When this happens parts must be tested following a determined order.Faulty part must be replaced.

TV is completely off, no power at all.
The Power board inside the TV has blown and must be replaced.

In both the two last situations you will have to call manufacturer, ringing the number listed on the owners manual, usually on the last or on the first pages.
Electronic faults may occurr because of factory defects, ambiental factors, voltage variations, or sometimes without apparent reason.

Try first doing the troubleshooting suggested at start.

Do not forget to leave feedback later.

Thanks.

G.

This is a crt rear projection tv. I've fix many of these. Many times it's a power supply problem (low and high voltage), and other times it may be a horizontal or vertical deflection problem.
To get an idea you can try to turn it on and after it fails you can press the [input] and [menu] buttons on the front of the tv together for over 5 seconds and count the blink code and compare it to these. the code will blink the 10's then pause followed by the 1's position. This will repeat 5 times. one blink followed by two will mean 12 and no trouble is detected.
12: no fault detected
21: x-ray detect (too much high voltage)
22: short on low voltage power supply
23: loss of horizontal deflection
24: loss of vertical deflection (usually a bad connection on the yokes)
Thank you Sir, and my Regards, Nandini.

This is a result of bad filtering capacitors.

Problem with 52 inch RCA projector t.v

It sounds like the CP150 and or the CP114/120 capacitors need to be replaced, they cost around 3 dollars each and can be found at Radio shack or you can order them from http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/ and they will send instructions with them.

Connection several HGTV cables

hgtv is for Home and Garden TV...

Do you mean HDMI? The end connector looks similar to a USB cable. It is a little wider and close to USB in height.

If you mean HDMI, then you can get a mechanical switch box from MCMELECTRONICS.COM but if you mean hgtv, I don't have a clue.

There is also the DVI connector, not used to much any more, that is used for HD tv signals. It is larger and more rectangular, and you can see all the pins and receptacles.
