If no heat then likely the element. However if it gets hot and then heat shuts off, you could have a defective humidity sensor or blockage in the lint trap or vent pipe if it is warm but never finishes it`s cycle,.

The heat is not hot enough to dry clothes half load

A dryer either heats or not heat . You have a vent blockage or vent hose kink . Pull the dryer out and remove the vent hose . Dry a load and see if it drys ok . If so , check the vent if it goes thru the wall to outside , or if goes up thru the ceiling , may have to get a cleaner ( line and brush ) at Home Depot .

The programme goes through the motions of a tumble dry but the clothes are not drying

Washer Dryers have a built in seperate heating element with a blower fan to dry the clothes. Your problem could be a simple thermostat/overload reset or there could be more sinister problems. This would be hard to decipher without looking at the machine itself.

Takes a long time to dry clothes

You might want to clean out the exhaust hose where it goes thru the house. Also vacuum inside the unit to if you havent done so already. Let me know if this helped

I 450 printer sends command to print but, no print on paper, paper goes through the printer as tho' it is printing but no print

Check your ink cartridges. Even with ink inside, the heads could dry up and not allow new ink to penetrate. Take a dry cloth (rag, not something you wouldn't want stained) and gently wipe it over where the ink shoots out of the cartridge. If you barely get a streak on the cloth, try dampening up the cloth and gently wiping the ink cartridge to see if it loosens up the ink flow.

If there is already plenty of fresh ink coming out of the cartridge, you might have a problem that isn't worth fixing. Repair costs compared to buying new are very similar these days.

I have an MP460 printer. Suddenly it won't print. When I try to print a document from Word, the printer acts like it's printing--goes through the motions, spits out a page, but nothing is on that page,...

  1. Open the front cover of the printer and remove both cartridges.
  2. Moisten a clean, lint-free cloth with water and gently wipe the gold nozzle area.

    Warning!
Wipe the nozzles of the color cartridge in one direction so the colors do not mix.
  3. To dissolve dried ink, hold the damp cloth against the nozzles for about three seconds. Gently blot and wipe dry.
  4. Moisten another section of clean, lint-free cloth and gently wipe the gold contact area.

    Warning!
Do not wipe the nozzles and contacts with the same section of cloth.
  5. To dissolve dried ink, hold the damp cloth against the nozzles for about three seconds. Gently blot and wipe dry. Let the gold-colored areas dry before you reinsert the cartridge into the printer.
  6. Reinsert the cartridge and repeat the nozzles test.
