Add channels to a to make it 40 channels or a web page thanks happy happy knew year and healty

I\'m assuming you\'re talking about converting an old 23-channel CB to a 40-channel radio.

You didn\'t specify what kind of CB you have so it\'s impossible to say for sure, but it\'s highly unlikely that this can be done cost effectively.

Most 23-channel radios used a set of 14 (6 base + 4 transmit + 4 receive) crystals whose frequencies were added together to result in the specific CB channel you were wishing to use.

Adding additional channels would require multiple sets of crystals and a replacement of the front-panel switch assembly that selected them.

This is a lot of work and expense, and you would be left with a radio that would either be missing channels - due to the peculiarities of CB channel assignments - or would include frequencies that you\'re not allowed to use. In either case such a heavily-modified radio would likely be illegal to operate.

Most - if not all - 40 channel radios use a newer digital synthesis technique to generate the frequencies needed, so their circuitry is much simpler and less expensive to manufacture. If you\'re wanting 40 channels, it\'s time to put the old 23-er out to pasture and buy a new one. Amazon has basic models starting at under $40.

I have a cobra 29 brought in us want to change to newzealand frequency

Normally this would not be possible, but to do what you are proposing you would be hard pressed to find anyone that could do this. The us radios have built in diodes to trap out frequencies to keep them in the 27mhz bandwidth, so you need to find someone who knows radios inside and out with the proper circuit diagrams to work with.

How do i find the FM frequency for a Connex CX-4300-300 CB radio?

FM is just a form of modulation, not an actual frequency. The frequency doesn't change between any of the modes (LSB, USB, AM, FM, CW).

For example, if you are on channel 19 (27.185MHz) on AM (Amplitude Modulation,) switching to FM (Frequency Modulation) mode you would still be at 27.185MHz, but using a different form of modulation.

You would have to replace several components on the board(requires alot of soldering and the parts needed are a little hard to come by) in order to change the output frequency ranges. It is alot of work to do this and is probably not worth all the work, Best advice I can give you is to replace it with an AM one and sell it.

Hope this helps
