Could be a break in the cord or a loose terminal at the brush holder. If you are mechanically inclined get back with me and I will instruct how to find. You will need the exact model number. If this is a quick lock cord as listed unplug and look at the terminals to make sure one not pushed away from tool and condition of the plug in handles. Let me know

Testimonial: "One of the pins was longer and loose so I tried pushing it in but it seems to be disconnected. Did not change, will run but not horizontal."

is the pin on the too side or the cord. If it is loose and moves much it could cause more problems. Give me the model number and I will find a part number for you and if give me city. state and zip will try and find a local supplier. They are not hard to install, I did it for 17 years. Good luck

How to put the blade into the black and decker 3.4 amp powered handsaw

#1) You have to locate the blade release button on the saw (see your manual). The opposite side of the release button is a screw-like OVAL shaped PIN. To insert the blade, the direction( or position) of this OVAL shaped PIN has to match the OVAL shaped hole in the blade. You could use a screw driver to change the direction/position of this OVAL shaped pin. You have to push down the release button when you use the screw driver to turn.

#2) Hold the blade in Vertical position in your right hand. The "Oval" hole is on top. The teeth is facing your left hand. You will see that the "oval" hole on the top of the blade is a "horizontal" oval.

#3) Hold the saw (handle) in your left hand as if you were going to saw using your left hand.
Now peek through the hole of the saw and find the direction of the OVAL PIN. It has to be a "horizontal" (or lied down) OVAL. If it is not, use the screw driver to adjust it.

#4) Hold the blade using your right hand. Oval hole on top, teeth facing your left hand. Insert
the blade from the bottom of the saw. What you needed to do is to insert the PIN into the hole
of the blade. When you inserted the pin into the hole of the blade, slowly turned the blade upward, the blade will lock by itself.

The blades come out

The piece that holds the blade in is held in place by a spring that sometimes breaks. eReplacementparts.com has a diagram and sells the springs for 78 cents.

I have a frigidaire front load dryer that has the round frond door and control panel on the top frontof the cabinet. how do i open the case and replace the blower fan blades?

If the top LOOKS like it can open or come off, look all around for any screws that may hold it in place. Then, using a thin, flat, flexible putty knife find the catch release tabs, usually in front, one on each side about 3-4 inches in from right and left front corner. Press these in while applying some upward pressure, use a wooden paint stirrer to apply opening pressure without scratching the paint! If this does not work, DO NOT resort to the Milwaukee Sawzall with a metal blade! The metal shavings will get stuck in your clothing and be very uncomfortable. Good luck!

Blade stuck in keyless chuck on sawzall. pin or spring must be broken. Any suggestions on how to get the blade out

Hi,
Getting a broken blade our of the sawzall chuck can be difficult and require some ingenuity and patience...
Sometimes there be enough blade left so that you can grab it with a needle nose pliers... othertimes it is flush and that makes it more difficult... holding the chuck in the release position and rapping the saw against a table or with a hammer can jiggle the piece out....of course you have the chuck pointed down while you do that...
Also moving the piece around a bit with a stiff wire and also soaking the chuck and blade with WD-40 helps also....
Usually it will take a combination of these things and some persistance to get the job done...

I have a Milwaukee sawzall 6509-22 with a quick loc cam. Blade went in fine, but now the saw wont release the blade to come out. How do I fix this problem. Note: locking cam is turning fine

K you used the saw after inserting blade?? If so couple ideas, hold collar open and put saw blade in a vise and try pulling back on saw, or you can remove the quik lok cam and release it that way, its not that hard, but I would try vise first. Let me know

I have one red verical line on my monitor. Is there a way to fix it or is it better to plan on buying another monitor?

Hi,

If the monitor is a conventional CRT type:
  • if the line is top to bottom, then the horizontal deflection yoke and/or an HV capacitor is faulty;
  • if the line is left to right, then chances are the vertical amp IC is defective.
Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

This fix should only be done by a professional or one who is familiar with repairing electronic devices. I have fixed many Kodak camera's with exactly the same problem.

Inside the camera the lens is attached to the circuit board with a ribbon cable and it inserts into a connector that it's latch can pop open if the camera is dropped or Jared. The way to fix it is to remove the back and re snap the connector. I have fixed many this way. There are two hidden screws behind the eye piece. Press down on the eye piece after removing the screws on the bottom. Be very careful where you touch on the circuit board. In the upper right corner is where the high voltage is for the flash. That can cause a nasty shock if you touch it. Even if the battery is removed it holds a charge.
