Ink Cartridges too far over to replace

Unfortunately you haven't mentioned if your printer is switched on at the time, but if you are changing cartridges your printer should be plugged in & switched on when you open the cover to replace the cartridges.
The printer cartridge carriage should then automatically slide to the center of the printer where the cartridges can easily be removed and replaced.

Thank you for visiting Fixya.
Best wishes,

I have Canon Pixma IP6220D When I turn on the printer the power led is flashing 4 times and turn off automatically. Can someone help me to resolve this problem?

I had same problem: when the printer needs more current to move the cartridges, the power supply switches off. To solve it, I replaced a broken diode in the power supply unit, and now the printer works fine.

I am getting a message on screen saying that the waste ink collector is full. It is telling me to contact service. What can I do myself? Canon Pixma iP 6210D

Hello sir; You have to clean upthe ink collector by yourself, the procedure as follow; turn on the power open the top part ( same as when repace the cartridge) let cartridge carrrier move to the center then UN-PLUG the power, now you may move the carriage freely, move it to all the wayto the opposite direction from the ink collector, now you can clean the cell, after you clean up, turn the power switch off before you plug in the power cord.

This is the REAL working method of manually resetting Canon ip1880 - ip 1980.

1. Unplug the POWER cord.
2. Press & hold the power button.
3. Connect the power cord WHILE holding the power button.
4. Keep on holding the power button for about 30 seconds.
5. Release the power button. The printer should be turned off.
6. Turn the printer on and that's it!

NOTE: You have to do this every time you turn on your printer. Or you will get the waste pad full error.

Hi sarafian -

Here is a website address that has the drivers for your specific Canon printer.

You can go ahead and click on the link that says Download Canon PIXMA iP6210D Easy-PhotoPrint v.3.61 driver. Just a heads up that I would not connect the printer to the computer until it asks you to during the driver installation.

Hope that helps,

Take care,
