You must reset the operation time meter after you
replace the lamp.

  1. Plug in the power cord, switch on the projector.
  2. Reset lamp time by pressing the <, > and POWER buttons on the contro panel simultaneously.
Important:
  • If the 3 buttons are not pressed at the same time, the lamp time may not be reset.
  • Please confirm the TEMP indicator illuminates about 2 seconds and the lamp time has been reset.

Adjust the color balance in each of color RGB (red, blue and green) and their neutral colors (yellow, cyan and magenta) by using color correction adjustment.Use Color correct adjustment when
emphasizing a specific color, or when only a certain
color balance is not correctly adjusted.
  1. Select Color Matrix on the Image Menu.
  2. Press < or > to select User.
  3. Press Enter Button.
  4. Press Down Arrow or Up Arrow to select the desired color.
  5. If you wish to adjust the color intensity of the image, select Saturation.

Hi there

This is sometimes caused if the replacement bulb has been slightly pushed off-angle. See if the bulb (after it has cooled), can be nudged back into position. If not, attempt reinstalling it.

If that doesn't help, is the wattage of the new bulb the same as the original?

The curvature of the bulb should also be the same as the original as different curves can cause the light to not pass sufficiently into some angles.

If none of this helps you may need to try a bulb closer to the original make and model to see if that helps.

Best regards

Sony bravia klv-32t550a

Hello. When a backlit LCD screen becomes pink or red in color (I've seen other color variations too), it is the backlight lamp itself. A fault it the bulb causes the wave length of light that we see to change, and our eyes perceive the change as a change in color. Replace the backlamp or have a reputable tech service it for you. :)

Color too pink/red. have tried to go to menu and get screen to adjust but have failed

Hello,

The red/pink tint is caused by one of two things, either the backlight bulbs are going out or the power supply that powers the bulbs is not putting out enough voltage to fully light the bulbs. The backlights are just really small fluorescent bulbs, if they don't have full power they light with a pink tint. No amount of adjusting will correct this issue. You will need to have the TV serviced.

Proview monitor PL926WSi Screen goes out after about 5 seconds

Hello Joe,

A red or pink coloration on the screen indicates bad backlight bulbs. They are just like standard fluorescent bulbs just much smaller. When they start failing they light up with a pink color and that will make the screen look pink or red. You can change them but it may not be worth the trouble. You can do a Google search for compact fluorescent tubes and check prices.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Duplicate image in pink displays on the screen.

From your description, it sounds like an alignment problem. There are 3 LCD panels in the projector. Each one displays an exact duplicate image of the others except it's either red, green, or blue. Under normal conditions, the images precisely overlay one another so you get a sharp image. Due to age, heat, or vibration/shock(impact) it would appear that the red LCD panel has shifted a little, giving the "ghosting" effect. You'll have to have the unit repaired by a qualified tech. He'll have the special electronic equipment needed to align the panels properly. Before sending the unit in, try a reset in the menu. Sometimes, the projectors can shift the image electronically, using math algorithms which will try to auto-sharpen the display. Hope I was able to help!---Rick

Epson powerlite s4 projector is pink

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.

This sounds like the LCD panel used for the red color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the red panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image. This causes a nice red hue to the whole screen.

It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.

Compaq laptop pink screen sometimes

The normal cause of a pink tinted screen is that the LCD back light is beginning to fail. Kind of like a regular florescent bulb does when it starts to go bad. It may last for a while, but eventually you'll have to replace it.

Help with Display Issues

Hi,
this appears to be a screen problem. either the cfl tubes on the way out. Or The Inverter.
The cheapest initial trial, is to replace the inverter, as this is the simplist to replace, it,s at the bottom centre of the screen, and can be accesssed by removing the screen bezel.
If you imagine the cfl tube being like a florescant bulb, and the inverter being the starter. if the inverter isn,t kicking up enough power. the bulbs not getting fully boosted up. also pink tinges can sometimes relate to inverter or cfl ( Laptop monitor tube/bulb ) if you search the internet their are tutorials, and links to these components. alternatively is to buy a replacement screen ( l.c.d panel ) however you might be looking in excess of £300 Or $600.
