Question about RCA Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a 1999 Model F27665 27in with color crazy screen. I am a 65 years old tech. and I have manageto trace the issue that seem to be the screen startup degauzing--has no effect. At RT201, there was just 2 wires sticking out which mean I might have vacumed the burnt part and I don't remember what is an'RT' of course 120v is routed to a coil around the back of the tube for 2 second or so every time I turn it on. Now nothing of the kind. It's my huntch that this is where the trouble lies. What is an RT and what would be its value. Where do I get that quick. Where can I get a teck manuel for this model of chassis CTC 203 AX GUYL

Your huntch is right. "RT" is the source for degaussing and power Normally it a positive reaction resistor . jumper 4 ohm 5 watt to check everything else. Svc info can be found at Vance Baldwin.com

Mitsubishi TV Model #WS65903 - Green Shadow Lines on Screen

Something is not right here--The green is adjustable in the TECH menu--did this person adjust or try to adjust in the customer or the TECH menu?

If you confirm actual model number I can tell you how to get into the TECH menu--yes--green will not adjust in customer menu--it determines geometry and is only adjusted in the TECH menu.

Also, this set requires any convergence adjustments to be done in 480 and then in 1080--if only adjusted in one mode the other will still be bad.

Let me know if you know how to adjust in TECH menu or not--with exact model number I can tell you how to get there.

If this helps you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Sound but no picture

loss of picture with sound ..loss of picture could one of many problems.. these units have serval specal fuses that a tech would need to check. loss of high voltage is a possibility. i would think this would be worth getting a tech to check out, the fact you still have sound may be a positive,

Most common repair is one or two open fuses in power supply
and bad convergence Ic's = expensive repair.........Also, have
the tech check for coolant leakage from CRT's...........T.
