Bluetooth Address:

Since you upgraded the phone, you already have the usb drivers.
1. Now, launch the QPST configurator.
2. Click on "add new port"
3. Type the port number your phone is using now. (you put it COM5, COM10, etc, its just one example)
Note: If you already added your port in QPST then skip this.
4. Now, launch the NV editor, maximize the window.
5. On connect, select the com port, and press connect server.
6. Press the file button and select upload all from mobile
7. Press the search button, and type "447"
8. Move the file to the "selected" window, once you double click it, in another window you will see loads of fields with 0
9. Change the 0 to 1, on all of them. Also, change the string value to "true" 10. Now, you press the "file" button and press "download selected & active to mobile"
11. Disconnect the server, close the program, unplug the phone, and restart the phone.
12. Now, try to enable the bluetooth.

Remember, once you do the 6th image step, you go to connection and select disconnect server.

My phone has a red screen and say FTM Mode...what do i do?

Hi,

I got out of FTM the other day by simply turning standalone mode on then off:
Menu / Settings & Tools / System / Standalone Mode.

It's Factory Test Mode, and is supposedly a very good way to turn your phone into a brick. For what it's worth, the QPST FTM App help file says:

The Factory Test Mode (FTM) Radio Frequency (RF) Evaluation Graphical User Interface (GUI) software is used to to test a phone. FTM RF Evaluation GUI is an application used to control a QUALCOMM phone such as a Subscriber Unit Reference Design (SURF) or Form Factor Accurate (FFA) for testing RF in three system modes-CDMA 1x, GSM, and WCDMA.

This application requires Dual-Mode Subscriber Station (DMSS) or Advanced Mode Subscriber Software (AMSS) software with FTM built into it. The FTM mode must be enabled before using the CDMA 1x, GSM, and WCDMA RF controls.

FTM is a mode of operation that allows a user to perform diagnostic or design verification functionality by exposing functions not discretely available to the user in DMSS mode. FTM does not provide the ability to make phone calls and is not driven by the DMSS Call Processing State Machine.

I had a Qualcomm arcade and now I'm trying to use a friends pantech discard. All it does is says its checking for other vzacess software. Just wondering if you now anything about it. Both cards are...

Remove your wireless card(s). Uninstall all Qualcomm, Panatech and Verizon software. Restart the computer. Download and install the latesst software from the card that you want to use (Panatech?). Only insert the card when the installation prompts you or after the install is complete. Once the card is properly installed, download and install the latest Verizon software.

Good luck!

I bought a usb cord to transfer files between my samsung smooth, and installed the driver, but It does not appear as a usb data disk

Samsung has disabled USB Data Cable & Bluetooth Transfers on that phone. leaving you with on email or online Album transfer, both of which make you use your phone minutes, ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already tried Samsungs FREE software Samsung_PC_Studio_7.2.24.9, which is very impressive, just not with our Verizon disabled phones.

Some people have had luck with Qualcomm's free QPST program, & you may also need the free Qualcomm usb driver 1.1. Google will get you both for free. If you hit a site that is asking for money, just go to a different site, as there are quite a few sharing it for free as it IS a FREE program!!! With QPST, you then just need the PSC code to unlock you pictures. I tried on that worked for someone else, howerver, looks like different phones have different codes, ugh:-(

Missing registry entries for qualcomm adapter on acer aspire one

Since it appears that you still have your wired connection you need to go here ->

http://us.acer.com/acer-v2/service.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&miu10einu24.current.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&sp=page15e&ctx2.c2att1=25&miu10ekcond13.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&CountryISOCtxParam=US&ctx1g.c2att92=453&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=2054404012

to download the Qualcomm wireless driver software. You can then unzip and install the driver.
I would first go into Device Manager and uninstall the wireless driver if it exist to remove any leftover software. Tt should be under the network in Device Manager. If it is not there do not worry about it just install the new driver you downloaded.

My cellphone wont download picture to my computer

gthis is a particularly finicky phone for data exchange - though I can fairly guarantee you can get files off the phone, uploading to it is another matter... You might need to find some additional software to access the filesystem of your phone as well. Either an early version of bitpim (7.x works) or qpst (I found qpst easier but its hard to find. If you need, I can send it) I had trouble getting my machine to see the phone at first, as it required some adjusting the hardware in the device manager. Is your cable futuredial or curitel?

Here is a link to a tutorial for dowloading pics:

Also The best place I have found for this type of information is Howardforums -The official 8910 Info thread: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=546903

Peruse these and if you are still stuck, let me know where in the process.
