Could you possibly have the audio locked? If so here is how to unlock it first put the slide switch in the tv position then press and hold the power button down until it flashes 2 times then enter this code 993 volumn up. It could also be whatever you are using as an input ie cable box dish network if the above doesn't work try unplugging your cable box or satellite receiver to reset.

Mitsubishi wd 60735 dlp tv red lamp light

A common issue and it may be your problem is dust and dirt inside the unit---the set intakes air from the front and exhausts it out the rear==I have seen several of these sets where removing rear cover and taking stthe set outside and blowing it with a air compressor clears the issue.

Fans and other critical items that get clogged or coated with a moderate amount of dust will cause this issue.

Sounds like your lamp/bulb is about ready to die. Here is a google shopping list for some replacements if you choose to DIY. http://www.google.com/search?q=Mitsubishi+WD-60735+replacement+bulb&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#q=Mitsubishi+WD-60735+replacement+bulb&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=XxY&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=k7KtTZP4A4jk0QGYm6jHCw&ved=0CHwQrQQ&biw=1366&bih=650&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=30e0fb8dc28dda8
Also if you need help on the DIY just come back. But a detailed reinstall can be found in the manual starting on page 75 which if you don't have can be found here:http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/pdf/ownersguides/WD-60735.pdf. Also on that page is a part number and phone number to get replacement direct from Mitsubishi. Good Luck!

Model wd-60735 sound will go up and down

I usually do not give short answers but here I will you what I would try first:

Connect a DVD unit or something else to one of the unused video inputs--make sure you have the speakers in the set turned ON and the surround sound system OFF.

If you do not have the problem when doing this it is very unlikely the problem is in the set--it is possible but I would put the % at about 5.

If it does the same thing with the surround system out of play it is a sound problem inside the set.

I would bet it will work that way---FYI if you are using a cable or Satellite box---it could also cause the problem if it is supplying audio signal to the surround system.

If this has helped you rate this solution as I do it here for free.
