I have the same cam and had the same prob...only to realize that i was putting the battery in the wrong order....follow the diagram in the camaera when you open the battery shows the position the battery goes in. Good luck, i hope this works out for's a wicked camera, comparable to any and all dslr cam's out there..the quality is amazing..people will not be able to tell the difference with a dslr and the s700 quality.

Nikon l110 date and time reset

I don't think you can change this. For time keeping, there is a little rechargeable battery in the camera. It will take about 12 hours for the battery to become fully charged, if everything is normal. If the little battery is gone, the camera can't keep up the time, causing your trouble. Please check with Nikon, what it will cost if they can repair this. To expensive? start saving for a new camera.
At least I think you gave the little battery enough time to charge. It would be bad, to remove the battery every time you stop shooting. Leave the main battery in the camera for at least one day and check again.

The lens keep going out & in

well it might but i doubt it! here is the fix direct from Sony who charge $90 for this bit of vital information.

OK you are probably going to think I am loony giving you this advise But No I am completely sane!

Get a can of compressed air OR acces to a compressor at your local garage Get them to fit the triggered air blower tool to it.

Blow around the lens in all the extension joins the firmly slap it in the palm of you hand with the side of the camera making contact with you palm. Do the procedure two or 3 times and inbetween the slaps turn it on to activate the lens mechanism. I have now fixed about 80 of these cameras with this method. I obtained the fix from Sony who charge $90 to do exactly the same. Keep at it as it will eventually work. One tip, make sure the battery is charged before you do this.

When i turn on the camera the lens wont pop open even when the battery is fully charged.... i was taking pictures and it working fine turn the camera off and on again then the lens wont open anymore? i can...

The problem is
1- some dirt somehow got on the outside of the lense. After it was retracted fully in, it prevents the camera from opening again. When you turn it on, if it opens a little bit, try to pull it out NOT too hard and let go a few times. If it opened, clear the outside of the lense. Your camera should be back to normal.
2- If you droped the camera, you probably damaged or dislocated a mechanical part of the lense. You may have to take out the lense by unscrewing it and inspect it for damged parts or disconnected cable. Make sure clean the lense and test it by moving it in and out a few times, before puting it back on the camera.

Good luck!!!!!!!

Camera won't turn on.

Take the battery out for 30 minutes or more and then try it back in again - ensure the camera is switched OFF when you do this.

My camera wont turn on nor will it connect to the computer

It IS the batteries. The batteries the camera is shipped with only lasted long enuff to use the camera one time, no download. Changing them out to the lithium AA's solved my problem even though the batteries it was shipped with tested good. Kodak might save it's customers a lot of headaches if they ship with lithiums to begin with.

Camera beeps 3 times

I had the same problem. My boyfriend suggested that it had to do with the camera holding a charge after the initial battery failure. He told me to take the batteries and memory card out for 10 minutes or so then try it again. I tried it and it worked like new. =)

My camera wont turn on

I had the same problem, here is how I fixed it: Make sure batteries are fully charged, Open the cover of memory compartment, the red LED is flashing, it means that there is a reading error. I reset the camera (under the output connection cover), took off the memory chip, and replaced with a spare one, then it powered on and prompt to date/time set up. Let me know if this works for you.
