No water entering the wash machine

My wash machine is a coin-operated commercial Frigidaire front load wash machine, model # FCCW3000F. There is no water entering the drum at all. It was purchased only a couple months ago, and has worked before. It is kept in an unheated basement of an apartment building.

It is possible that the water fill solenoid is bad. You would need a volt meter to check that there is voltage at the solenoid when it should be filling. I would not suggest that you try this unless you are familiar with electricity because it will be at line voltage. If this was purchased new only a couple of months ago I would suggest contacting the seller if it is still under warranty. Something simple to check also would be the water line coming in. Shut off the water lines and disconnect at the washer. Place the hose ends into a bucket and make sure water comes out by carefully opening the shut off valves. If no water or only a trickle comes out then the screens on the input of the hoses may be clogged. Take hoses off of the shut off valves and inspect the screens. If they are clogged clean them off and then reinstall them and try filling the bucket again before attaching them back into the washer.

SOURCE: cold water will not enter washing machine

Turn off the faucet in wall. Unscrew the inlet hose to examine whether there is clogging in the tiny screens. Both ends as well as machine input hose. Clear out properly. Open faucet to check. See that you have a "y" or "F" type adaptor for your hot and cold inputs of the machine. This is if you have only one faucet in wall for your washing machine. If this does not work you have to check your (plug off the wall first) wires to the inlet pump of your machine - this probably has come off or is loose. And if this does not work, your inlet valve could be defective.

Pl rate if helped.......

SOURCE: water leaking from bottom of front lode washing machine

It leaksYour washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:

During fill only
During drain and spin only
All the time

During fill only
If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these:

Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.

The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.

Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.

During drain and spin only
A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

All the time
If the washer leaks all the time, check these:

Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.

Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

Your washing machine has to release some warm water even when liquid detergent is used. The purpose of the brief release of warm water is to dissolve powdered detergent and/or flush liquid detergent residue.

My Frigidaire Commercial Series FCCW3000FS 27" Coin Operated Front-Load Washer will not agitate or spin clothes out. Please HELP!

You should check your serial number at this link:http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml09/09292.html

There was a voluntary recall issued on your model number. The serial number will confirm if your machine is affected.

As to your problem, i would still suspect drain pump is struggling or inoperable. However if it seems to drain ok and your pump is still relatively quiet except for a nice mellow steady hum (there should be no rattling sound) then i'd take a look at the pressure switch. The pressure switch sends the signal to begin agitation (water level in tub is full) and spin (water in tub is drained.)

I am having the exact same problem with this exact same machine I bought 2 weeks ago, from the 1st load on. I've watched the mechanism and see that it's not rotating. Repair guy out once, thinking my tenants aren't pushing the coin slide in hard or fast enough. Have to wait another week for repair guy to come out. Obviously there's an apparent defect in the Plastic Mechanism.
