Asus motherboards are junk, if you buy another in the future, stay clear of Asus products.

With that said, you should check your system for malware and viruses first, before doing anything else

Does not boot up into Windows

This very well could be a motherboard problem. I would suggest removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard and looking for the "clear CMOS" jumpers which should be close to the battery. They generally are 3 pins, a jumper across 2 of them. Move the jumper to the other setting for about 30 seconds and then replace. (do this before removing the battery).
Then take the battery our for maybe 30 seconds and replace it. Try to start. If that doesn't work, I think you BIOS may be corrupt and you'll need to go the the ASUS site to get a new BIOS file.

The BIOS has been corrupted. Machine will not boot. Message says Bad Checksum. The only way to rewrite the Bios would appear to be using the Award Bios flash utility. Problem is this demands a DOS file...

call tech support for the asus mb.. explain that the bios is corrupted..

or just turn off the power .. at the wall outlet

and jumper the board to reset the factory defaults for the bios

...

if this fails.. then asus may be able to provide a dos .bin file

renaming the windows file.. will not work!

it is program all contained in a single file and must have windows operational to execute

so... i hate when they write bios update software to operate under windows only

you can ship the board to asus for the bios to be flashed as the last resort
