Question about Porter Cable Air Tools & Compressors
You more than likely have a damaged compression ring. This is the ring that goes on the piston. Check to see if the cylinder is scarred also if the ring is bad. You should replace both the compression ring and the cylinder. Check with your Dewalt service center to see if you can puchase an assembly that has both. Also check your valve plate and make sure the fingers are ok. Sometimes a broken finger will give you the same result.
