Hello,
This unit is a bit old, but still a classic. You may need to go over it and make sure all the solder joints are good, and not cracked. As the unit heat up it may cause some connections to fail. A good tech with a good soldering iron can retouch everything quickly. You should also spray clean all the pots and switches with an Electronic Cleaner (available in Fry's or so).
Hope this helps.

Hello, I own a Pioneer DVD-DV563A It was working fine then one day there was nothing to be heard when people speak. There is movie sound, music etc. but no vocals are heard. PLEASE HELP. Thank You ...

Hi Bert,
It seems that you haven't do the right hook up of your rca cord to your amplifier/reciever etc. If you used only the L/R channel on the reciever and not the 5.1 channel, hook up the rca cord to ML/MR to your Pioneer DVD Player. This is color coded as Red and White.
Hope it may help you.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Whats the best kind of amp to use with two of these in a box

Walmart sells a 760 watt 2 ch amp.....It works well with these type of subs. Or any amp rated @ 150 watts per channel RMS. Start with the low pass filter on and with it hooked up and playing raise amp level until distortion can be heard through subs...then back off a bit...Your level is now set.

When switching on...clicks, but no pic and red light flashing... must reset by switching powerswitch off than on..this went on sporadically for 4yrs..now samething happend accompanied by a loud pop and now...

Hi Pepe.

Only when there is no power at all, no led on, and no sign of life whatsoever, that means that the problem is likely the internal power supply board.

If instead the TV stays in stand-by, with the LED light on and flashing, but does not respond to remote, or to the buttons on the chassis, then the TV is in protect (safe) mode because an internal fault had been detected. In this case the fault is not necessary the PSU. Parts must be tested to find out. The clicking sound is the protection circuit that keeps turning off the PSU to prevent further damage.

If the problem is the PSU, often it is possible to see at a glance that one of the big electrolytic capacitors in PSU board has blown.

General troubleshooting on this article: Why my TV does not start up and remains in... . I do not think it will help in your case.

If that does not work, contact the manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual to get the TV repaired by a licensed technician.
Pioneer covers the PSU or other parts even out of warranty only when a determined factory defect concerning that model and year had been reported by a number of technicians.

How should i hook up a pioneer sg-9500 EQ to a pioneer SA7500 and a TX 6500 tuner and amp

check in yhe back of your amp to see if you have a pre amp power amp rca jumpers. If you do. remove these jumpers and take the pre amp out and plug it into the eq in. Then take the eq out and plug it into the power amp in. this will put your eq inbetween the pre amp and power amp. If you don't have these rca jumpers on the back of your amp, you can do the same with your tape record in and out inputs on back of amp.

Pioneer VSX-9700S Audio/Video Receiver powers on then shuts off

The Pioneer 9700s is a very good sounding unit, if you are talking in home threater space, but your problem sound like the power amplifer section is giving out too HIGH DC voltage therefore ripping the protection circuit. In these newer home threater ammplifers, there are not dc offset voltage adjustment on the circuit brd. All is done by negative feed back. Sorry you ar eout of luck I don,t hinkit is worth fixing. They are not as well make as the older Sa7500, and Sa9800 amplifers of old. There is a good chance that aftera few month something else will go on them. That is why they are so cheap on Ebay, these thraeter receivers.

Pioneer head unit plays in accesory mode, but not when vehicle is fully started

he tapped into starter wire instead of accessory. Remove radio and verify the switched power (red) wire is properly hooked up to an accessory wire that stays on after vehicle is started.
I believe the wire is white/black behind the radio. Check with a voltmeter to be sure.
http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/967.html
for the wire codes to that vehicle.

Receiver problem

Try this, it may work for you.

1.)Plug the unit into your mains voltage.
2.)Depress the enter and advanced surround buttons (on the front panel of receiver) at the same time for
at least 2 seconds, you should hear the relay tick and front panel should light up.

High note

Does it sound like an activation type noise? Like everytime you hit the button the noise goes off as an attention grabber? Could be a safety on the system. look through manual and see if this is the case and can be switched to mute.
