I'm also having the same problem after a long trip; plus we can't seem to charge the battery in the car; the led light just blinks red instead of staying red such as when you charge it at home.

I'm experiencing the same problem and do not find an In/Out switch on the side of the DVD player.

I CAN HEAR THE MOVIE, BUT I SEE NOTHING. HELP. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE TOYS. I USE IT CONSTANTLY. DO YOU HAVE A SOLUTION? I WAS WATCHING A MOVIE, AND PAUSED IT. WHEN I UN-PAUSED, THE SCREEN WOULD DID COME BACK. IT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY UNTIL THEN.

There is a switch on the side of the DVD player that reads "in / out".  Switch it to out and you should get the blue screen back.  It's a strange set up but this is how it works.

If you've had this happen with two systems in a row, then it may not be the systems. First, try hooking up the PS3 directly to the TV, or another TV, and see if the issue still occurs. If it does, then something between the PS3 and the TV is causing your issue. Otherwise, call and get it replaced again, and hope the issue doesn't happen again.

Insignia NS-8PDVD DVD player - shaking picture

Try to run a disc cleaner in it first then if that doesnt help you may have a non repairable condition as ther is no repair places for these things. You can also try a different DVD and see if that makes a difference, a store bought DVD just to confirm things arent working properly..

The disc spins and I can hear the audio but the screen remains blank. Also, the on screen controls (PLAT Fast Forward, etc) do not work either. This worked fine a week ago. Any suggestions?

HELLO!

There is a problem might be the screen cable which could be damaged or not seated correctly in its slot .need to be checked I recomend swapping of the cable to see its status .
If the cable is ok( mb contacts and screen) are good then swap screens your screen might be burnt or damaged .
and check the screen circutry for voltage regulator with a multimeter
it could be burnt .

Good luck

Insignia ns-lcd32-09 wont play VHS

Yes, that is correct you need composite (or coax) cabling to your TV. The unit cannot carry the VHS signal via component video or digital audio cabling

VCR shows "PLAY" on machine but doesn't show on TV

Hi,

If even the sound aside from the video is not reproduced on the TV, then your description "connect" indicates that the TV is not set to receive the audio/video signals from the VCR. Initially, pls try:
  • set the TV to Channel 3 (or 4); or
  • set the TV to A/V, Video 1 or Aux 1.
Additionally, you need to confirm how the VCR is hooked to the TV unit, bu a single coaxial cable or 3 cables with RCA connectors (yellow, red & white).

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
