the tv is probably placed n a tight spot and getting over heated or even if its n a good air circulated area u may be leaving it on to much and its overheating anyway or its your lamp it may b out i heard they only have 1000 hours of operation the lamp operation not the tv itself ----K.O.

14 times means the LCD panel is defective. I just had one of those tvs in my shop. Sony will take care of the panel replacement in warranty.

I finally managed to solve this problem by unplugging everything - scarts - HDD cables - power etc and left it for an hour. When I turned it back on again the problem had sorted itself out.
