Same smart drive 601, water will stop geting in after a few seconds of 'normal' water flux...it's the first time...I think is the valve (12v)...but could be the pump?...cause...why both valves (cold and hot) will stop working the same day...anyway...should I change the clod valve at least?

many thanks
Pedro

- Hi, thank you very much. I've GFI, I unplugged the machine, removed the front panel, check wiring of valves (aparently ok, remove both hoses and clean filters..(hot was very dirty, cold clean)...the problem still there.... gracias pedro

- in that case the machine will start after stop, isn't it? instead it keeps trying to fill with water with small 'shots' and then long 'trouble' beep! till I turned off. Then, filled manually and try to drain and spin, the spin also goes in short 'tries' and then long beep... will check better, tomorrow, the water level control. Many thanks

if you mess with any of the electrical, or electronic components- UNPLUG the washer!!
not being familiar with this model- i can say that sometimes a small article of clothing can get into the pump and effect the drainage. water in is usually controlled by solenoids- 1 for hot, 1 for cold. depending on your temp. setting. if you have 'hard' water at your home, and an old water heater, mineral 'chips' can build up in the filter at the hot water side of the valve, and possibly the cold water side. turn off the water supplies to both sides and remove the hoses and check for clogged filter screens.
if they're cruddy clean them.
You also may have a loose or corroded electrical connection to the ground side of your inlet valves. this usually involves removing the back panel of the machine.and examining the wiring to the water valves. UNPLUG the washer!! If you don't have a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) in your laundry room, then i advise you have one installed!
hope this helps!

- I have a toshiba satellite laptop, and the keyboard sucks! sorry toshiba!
If you have shut-offs for the hot & cold water supplies, make sure they're fully on! the input valves rely on water pressure to hold them open. your water level control may have a tube running from it to somewhere on the lower outside non-spinning water container. if the tube is damaged, disconnected from the water level control or the drum connector the valves will close if they think the washer is filled to the level you've set.
As i've stated before- UNPLUG the machine!!
Good Luck Pedro!
