Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Fan makes loud noice when it rotates in my laptop...
If you have the unit apert to clean the fan, on one side of it you will find a paper label in the middle gently remove the label and it will expose the bearing. 1 drop of very light oil (sewing machine or similar), and leave for 5 mins so that it can soak into the bearing assembly. replace label and refit fan.
You will still need a new fan but it may last anouther 6-12 month.

The fan most likely has a fauly/worn bearing or is clogged with dust.
Try cleaning and removing the dust from the fan anf heatsink assembly.
If this doesn't work then replace the fan.
