This is a common problem. it can be rectified by replacing the drain pipe. it can be accessed from the back behind the condensor. you will have to cut open at the back to do the repair and once replced, reinsulate the insulation by using liquid foam obtainable from your local hardware.

Hello i have an lg refrigerator GR-620RW which

LG 620 RW water in fridge below crisper problem.
The issue is most likely a blocked condensate drain line at the back of the freezer. The purpose of the drain line is to take away the water from the end of the defrost cycle.
Task time, approx 2 hours.
Unplug fridge.
Empty out the fridge, let warm up & remove the back panel of the freezer. There is a 3" x 4" snap in door at the upper left corner of the back panel with a round snap in cover. Remove the snap in cover & remove the screw to take out the 3" X 4" panel, gently pull out the back panel from left to right. There is also an elect connector to the fan on the upper right corner, unclip this. The drain is at the back in the centre, it will likley be blocked with 2 or 3" of ice. You can let it melt or sparingly use a hair dryer on it, do not over heat or damage the coil/fin assembly. The fridge will continue to drip water for a day after the drain is cleared if the water has rin inside of it for any period of time.
There is also a fan/control assembly in the refrigerator section held up by 2 screws & snaps. This should be dropped down to ensure there is not ice buildup in the vents to the freezer or water inside it.
Finally, make sure you run warm water down the freezer drain tube to the pan underneath the fridge, this is accessible by taking of the rear compresser cover behine the frigde. Ensure the lower drain line is clear & back on the locater peg.
Of course if you want to do this the easy, & have the time, leave the fridge open, unplugged for 2-3 days & the ice will all melt.

Good Luck

Hollow ice cubes and refrigerator freezer drip pan is freezing

The drain at the bottom of the evaporator on the freezer rear wall is blocked up. Ice may have gotten so far up the side of the evaporator that it is blocking a return air duct which is located there. You need to completely deice the freezer and then **** out and purge the drain hole on the bottom of the evapotrator with hot water and a turkey baster.

Freezer drips water into frigde filling up ottom tray

Hello, If it is a top mount freezer then there is a drain that runs from the freezer to the drain pan that gets gummed up sometimes and if that happens then the water has no place to go but the fridge. Look all the way in the back of the fridge and you'll see a yellowish colored tube. You can just pop that out and take it to the sink and clean it out.. Hope this helps

This is the most common thing on this site for refers. Its the drain line that takes water from the freezer when it defrosts to the pan underneath the appliance. You need to locate the drain line and remove the obstruction, sometimes its frozen so a short thaw may be helpful. The way I do it is I find the drain hose at the bottom of the fridge where it drains into the pan. I then connect a hose to it and blow compressed Co2 into the line. When there is no back pressure, I know its clear.

Kenmore / GE side by side defrost drain keeps freezing up

Check under the base, the tube must be clear to the water tray, often there is a rubber flow restrictor, this either perishes or blockes, either way remove it, defrost over night and then turn back on, should then work ok within 24hrs. Regards Adbvisor

Not defrosting into tray

You have a blocked drain tube in the bottom of the freezer. Remaove all the shelves and stuff from the freezer and then remove the back wall. At the bottom under the coils there should be a drain hole. It may be covered with ice or have food stuck in it. Clean it out with swarm water or a steamer and if it keeps happening, take a piece of solid copper wire and wrap it around the heater coil just above the drain a few loops, then shove some of the copper wire down the drain. This should put just enough heat into the drain when it defrosts to keep it from freezing again. Good Luck!
