Question about GE 27851FC1 2.4 GHz Cordless Phone

Open Question

Model 27851GE1-A telephone

My phone started speaking Spanish on it's own 2 days ago. I followed instructions over and over to reset it back to English, but it won't switch. I even truied changing it to French, just to try getting it to switch to something. I unplugged it, I pulled the battery, I tried default. Why on Earth would the phone just switch languages and not switch back?
