SOURCE: Canon IPF700 prints with stripes

I had the same problem. I realized that i was printing to the wrong paper type. It gives you several options, so make sure you are set to print on the right type or you will get banding. My issue was i was printing on Semi Gloss and my computer printer settings where on Plain. - Once i changed, it solved the problem.

SOURCE: iP4300 only recognizes magenta OR cyan

1. Get compressed air
2. Run Printhead under HOT water, do not worry about contacts getting slightly wet.

3. Blow compressed air with straw attachment into screens where the cartridge nozzle sits on printhead. then let it sit and dry.

4. reinstall print test page

5. if this fails open paint/photoshop and print a page of the color that is not printing correctly. rinse and repeat until colors flow freely.

I have several ip4300s and I have yet to give up the ghost on a printer with a clog ujsing this method.

SOURCE: MP830 Cyan Ink won't print

Soaking the print head in non-detergent ammonia works very well. It breaks up the dried ink clots perfectly. (Soaking in alcohol does not work nearly as well.) Be sure the head is completely dry before putting it back in the machine.

Do a test print...
assuming you have done multiple print head cleans... if it fails to print ANY cyan, I'd guess the print head is dead... although to be honest im not an expert with this hp printer. if that is the case, it probably isnt worth repairing.
If it does print some cyan, just missing, you may be able to find info, sorry, I cant help you there, on accessing the service or maintenance mode and doing a higher level clean, if your printer supports that.
As a last option, disassembly and soaking the bottom of the print head in cleaning solution /water... overnight, without getting ANY water on any contacts, then re running print cleans.

good luck

in my exp, again, not with this printer, mind you, if a print head fails to print ANY ink for a given colour, the print head is usually faulty.

Hope this info helps

You could try a head cleaning or a deep cleaning. You can find them in your printer properties under maintenance. After a few cleanings, try a test page. Keep cleaning and trying a test page until it prints like it should. If it never prints black and/or cyan, the print head is either seriously plugged or damaged.

Not printing cyan tryed new cartridge

The print head is clogged.Try unclogging with cleaning tests in maintenance mode.If not help you can try unclogging manually.Warning!!!This can lead to damage of print head.Try it in last case.Open the cover and first remove the ink cartridges. Then open the holder and remove the print head.Run hot tap water and put the print head with the nozzles up to stream water.Hold that 5 mins then turn the print head around with the nozzles down.Hold that for every color of 5 mins. Then put the print head in hot water with the nozzles down.Left
it water about 15 mins and then you must very nice to dry. When the print head dry put it in printer and start cleaning. If this not help you need to replace the print head.Call Canon for support.

HP all-in-one not printing cyan color

Place a soft clean tissue paper over the cartridge print head and leave for about eight minutes. You can secure it with the aid of a rubber band. It should be held firm ok. If the tissue paper is not dampened by ink then the cartridge would have gone bad or the ink dried. You also know that they have expiry date and could go bad while yet in the packaging b/c it has expired. Good luck
