Try to pull out first the vertical IC, then switch ON the TV,If the Tv is On it may be the Vertical IC problem change it. If Still the same before pulling out the V IC. check the low voltage side for any diode leak.

Sony Wega KV-34HS510 standby blinks 7 times in red

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, the Sony KV-34HS510 uses the DA-4 Chassis. On this chassis, 7 blinks refers to the fault "Horizontal Deflection Stopped" indicating a problem with the horizontal section. Offhand, check, replace the HOut transistor and have the FBT (flyback transformer) ring tested.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

This problems is cause by FBT-Flyback tranformer the big black block of plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to the CRT(tv tube) and the "H" horizonal transistor left side of the steal plate cage of the big black block of FBT.U have soldering tool, and solders?Resolders the FBT,and "H" horizontal transistor will help to stop this problems,if those parts are still goods, not dying.Or might help just leave the tv on 4 or 5 hours, the heat of the tv could heal the cold solders itself.

Kv-32fs16, no picture or sound , red lights flash 4 times

Hi
In sony tv`s the 4 blink code(sony error codes)usually means that there is a vertical deflection problem.
It is often caused by a faulty vertical output i.c and/or related components. If you feel handy with a soldering iron let me know and i`ll help you with it.
Hope this help Merry Christmas

Sony KV-34HS420 shuts of and stand-by light blinks

  1. Turn off the television. IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
  2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
  5. Turn on the television.
If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required. Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center.

My sony KV32 FX65B trinitron stopped working.. i took it to a technician and he said i needed to replace the FBT (fly back transformer) along with two transistors. I just replaced them and when i start...

When it is shifted to right vice versa, it indicates a distortion on the horizontal output. Try replacing all the capacitors around the horizontal output area with the same original value. Make sure the horizontal output transistors you replace hasn't started going gone bad already if you know how to check them. Them dimness in the picture is caused by the horizontal output not putting enough high voltage to the CRT. Look for leaking capacitors too. Also replace the resistors around the horizontal output, they may have burnt out or changed in value from overloading cause by the malfunction of the flyback, and the transistor.

The HOT transistor is shutting it down. (horizontal output transistor)
it cost about 8.00 for the parts and 100 for the labor.

you will require help from a tech.

Sounds like you have a short in your set. Probably a shorted horizontal output transistor. You need to have a tech check it out and give you an estimate for repairs. Stargazer
