I think I have an air block in my spa pool, this may have turned off a switch when I went to start it up for the first time. I forgot to release the pressure valve on the filter and now the pump will no longer start up

I added salt and am running just the pump for 24 hrs per instructions but when I turn the thing at top of pump to release no water comes out. Is this normal??

i am not completely familliar with this system but i am pretty sure that opening the relief valve should allow water to exit providing all the valves are open. as for green pool, if the water is not moving, you will not be able to clear the water.

Flow master XP2 by aquaflo for spa; it clicks, but does not start. I could turn the shaft with a wrench, all plugs work.

the start switch has trash in it , use compressed air and blow out the back of the motor, this works most of the time for me. otherwise the motor will need to be dissembled and can be tricky do to easy to break parts. search your area for your local pool pump motor repair guy with free testing. and ahve him clean the switch

Is my pool pump burnt out?

Make sure you have completely filled inflow and outflow hoses with water (no air), take out skimmer and connect inflow hose directly to the intake valve. Unplug pump and make sure circuit is not tripped. Open pump and flood with water, using moderate amount of pressure on hose. Check all seals/rings and apply silicone if necessary, and seal it up. Plug in. Flip switch on and off quickly. Don't even wait to see if pump starts, just fast on and off. Do that 5-7 times over a few hours. Then try to turn pump on. It may work, but may not. You can repeat, making sure there is no air in tubing and pump. If it still doesn't turn on, remove outer casing and confirm all filters are not blocked, no build up, etc. If you get nothing, come back and hopefully someone can comment on how to confirm pump is burnt out. If its under warranty, contact manufacturer ASAP to see if they will replace. If not, amazon and ebay have much cheaper replacement pumps than anything you can find direct from manufacturer or retail stores. Good luck!

Spa motor turns on by itself. Noramally air switch activated.

With time you get condensation in the air tube. It has a very low PH and will build an alge block.Once this occurs a change in air pressure or air temp will cause it to trip the switch. So you will need to pull in new tube. It's a good idea to go with a new button when you do this.

I replaced CVA-24 when I turn on pool filter no water being pulled water being pulled through to pump

Your pump has probably lost its prime. This is either because it got too much air or not enough water. Try priming. This should make your pump start working again. Any time pool pumps have to be services, they need to be re-primed. In case you are not sure how, remove the pot lid and fill the pot with water. Re-add and clamp the pot lid. Open the air release valve on the filter and stand clear. Turn on switch or time clock. When water comes out of the air release valve, close the valve. If it is a two speed pump, make sure it is on high speed.

Jandy Aqualink RS4 randomly turns on blower, pump, heater

I have has to deal with the same problem and have found that the spa switch is causing the problem. When I went into the lockout controls menu and locked out the spa switch I no longer had the problem. Once I figured this out and determined the spa switch was faulty I replaced the spa switch and everything is work correctly now.
