What mechanics ? No codes stored in driver door module or power seat module ? Or don't these mechanics know about that ?
Did you try the dealer ?

Also do there know anything about serial data bus ?
Plus , do they know what voltage drop testing a electrical circuit is . I should find better mechanics .
There are two things possible. 1) You have defective re chargeable batteries in your GoGear. 2) There is some short circuit because of which the re chargeable cells are discharging. Either way you should get the system changed. If you want to confirm if its the battery defect or GoGear. Charge the system fully and play music continuously. If the Go Gear plays for about 4 hours with out break---- its not the battery but the charging system.
It could be , but to replace it without testing would not be a wise idea . These modules can set DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's .Having a qualified repair shop check it would be your best bet .
It's called driver seat module . DSM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index

bring up device manager, turn the device off, then plug into the computer, with finger on the + volume. it should prompt the computer to diagnose the problem, then you can click on repair, in the device manager. I had similar problem and this worked short term, but now it is happening over and over. I think the battery may not be as rechargeable as advertised. I have had this about a year and use it a lot, but don't want to buy another one. I cannot download music now, so have to call support. This should fix your issue short term
it does it because the battery is dodgy and is going to be on the news tommorow in the meantime i woulsd look on the sony website support and ask for a new one if that fails buy one in town
Hi you do not say where in the world you are? . if UK then this site
( www.BuySpares.co.uk ) list replacement battery for the gogear 6320. I have also seen the for sale on ebay
Here's a better solution - no offense, silly girl. First, find out if the computer will recognize the GoGear when you plug it in. If so, then use the Repair function in the Philips Device Manager.
If the computer doesn't recognize the player: Disconnect the GoGear from the computer, and turn the player off. Hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you re-plug the GoGear back into the computer. After 45 seconds to one minute, Windows will go into recovery mode and resucitate your player.
Also, the number for the Manufacturer - Philips - is
1-866-PHI-LIPS (or was it 1-888? - one of these is an adult line, the other is not) :-)
