Question about Sony VAIO PCV-W20 PC Desktop
I'm trying to do a system restore with the recovery CD's on my ailing Vaio PCV-W20 Version V83.0. It used to be my kid's computer until it died (don't know why) about 3 years ago.
When you turn on the computer before recovery, I get the normal black screen displaying the loading process then this error line: Error loading operating system.
I then insert CD #1 and restart the computer. It goes through
booting from CD, loading the recovery utility, the warning and default screens. I make my choices and then start. It gets to 2% and the pops up this error: "Incompatible image in use". I click OK, then I get "The recovery process is incomplete. Your system may not operate properly". I click OK to that and the whole thing starts all over again.
Is there any hope of repair for this computer? If so what do I need to do?
I appreciate your help on this matter.
