I have found that the Bluetooth adapter sometimes has trouble staying reliably connected through many types of desk material. Try getting a USB extension cable and relocating the bluetooth transciever closer to your keyboard/mouse work area.

My optical mouse has started exhibiting problems that are best described as slow to respond to clicks. Also noticed tabs in google chrome stick to the mouse once clicked.

Try taking a can of compressed air (can be found at Walmart for pretty cheap) and blowing out any debris located under the buttons of the mouse. Sounds like the contacts are sticking in the mouse.

You may also check to see if you have processes on the computer that are causing it to slow down. You can right-click on your task bar alone the bottom of the screen, select Task Manager, and click the performance tab to see if you're using a lot of resources.

I have a logitech wireless mouse. Mouse keeps sticking.

Did you try repairing the mouse with the receiver? During battery change it might have lost its pairing information.

Mouse sticking

AAHHHHHHHHH, quite often optical mice have PTFE non-slip pads under them which aid the physical movement of the mouse. Look under the mouse - are they missing? If so, spares are hard to come by, and optical mice are relatively cheap nowadays. Try using the mouse on a surface thats even and flat (a 210gsm bit of card may do it). Hope this helps

Cordless mouse?

Try pushing the connect button on the bottom of the mouse. Also check to see if there is a button on the reciever. If so, you should press that button first. Make sur there is no tab sticking out from the moust that needs to be removed. If this doesn't work, reply with the brand, and model of the mouse.

Didn't receive disk with mouse so I don't have software and mouse has run amuck

First of all, make sure there is nothing between your mouse and the signal receiver. If that doesnt work, blow gently into the lens, dust may have become trapped, but make sure you swallow first! if the button is sticking (as in physically, not digitally) it means something sticky has gotten in there, try getting a dry cotton bud (q tip? dunno what else they are called, blob of cotton wool on a stick haha) and seeing if you can get whats making it stick loose. Be gentle, you dont want to break the mouse!

as far as the missing CD goes, don't worry, most product drivers are available somewhere online, My favourite place for them is http://driverscollection.com/ (and I have checked and the drivers are on there ^^)
