Cool but not cold in fridge or freezer. Fans working and compressor kicking on and off. Heavy frost on the back of the freezer compartment. Cleaned the underside of the unit of all dust from the coils but still not cooling properly...

- Thanks for the info! I turned the defrost switch until it cut off and waited 20 minutes to see the results, the fans came back on but the frost is still there...Bad Defrost heater???Clarification Request

You have a defrost problem , probably the heater behind the inside freezer panel , BUT , Sears says " no serviceable parts available for this model " . Strange , it was made by G E , and Sears says that .
