dryer stays hot when not in use. hot to touch. I unpluged the dryer and now it's cool. is there a fire hazzard with something like this?

your heating element has been drooping and welded to the metal part of mount and has broken unplug the unit and replace the heating element be sure to have a knowledgeable person do. make sure to unplug the unit b4 repair is done
