Bullseye trading post appears to be offline, and in any case a proper answer depends on what kind of repairs are needed. Is it just a few scratches? A severe crack? What is it?

Not sure what materal it's made from but I would try a Fiberglass mess  bond-o patch. You can mix your own with Fiberglass matt and a bond-o resin. See  http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Marine/Home/

Usually from the manufacturer, but ask at local dealers or canoe-repair shops and they may know of sources of the correct thing for your boat, or at least a workable substitute.

Approx 2 wide by 7 inch long gash in starboard side at the waterline

That's a pretty serious size gash to repair. I'd contact Old Town Canoes to see it that material can be plastic welded and if so, where to get the materials. Good luck.

How do I fix my badly faded canoe, colour is red and only faded down one side?

I would recommend painting it with a type of paint that would adhere to the material the canoe is made of whether that is aluminum, fiberglass, etc. My guess is that you have been leaving only half of the canoe in the sun, so when you store the canoe, either keep it in a shaded area or cover it with a tarp to keep the sun off.

Royalex canoe -wood trim. I live in Canada down to -35F. this winter. I forgot to loosen screws ongunnels. I now have completely through vertical cracks through screw holes in royalex. Suggestions?

Are there washers on the plastic side of this boat? You could get some stainless finish washers to grab the plastic instead of just the screw head. I'm not really sure what you have there without seeing it, If it is that bad, you could also take another piece of wood, to match the gunwale on the outside and put one on the inside. Then drill some neat holes and run screws into the thicker one. I have a strip canoe, with the 2 gunwales, and have no problems with draining the boat or anything like that. Of course we don't freeze down here.

How to repair an open split in a royalex canoe

key the surface using sandpaper to make it rough, and apply a fibreglass matting repair. They are available in kit form from canoe outfitters, often sold a kicker plates.

The application is very simple, just follow the kit instructions.Be aware though that the boat has to be perfectly dry before you start. (leave it indoors for a couple of days first) I often use a hairdryer on the surrounding area for a few minutes beforehand to ensure no moisture is present. Be careful not to get the area too hot though, you don't want to melt your boat!

Once the kit is applied and has set you can smooth the edges down with a sander.

Canoe has damage on the front bow.

Bondo would probably work.

Also, you could laminate a few pieces of something like vinyl siding/facia board over the hole. If the canoe is ABS, the vinyl siding cold be "welded" / fused to the ABS with PVC primer & solvent/cement.

Popular canoe material

ABS, or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, has earned a reputation among canoeists for near indestructibility. It is one of the most damage-resistant canoe materials in use today. Badly dented hulls, even those that have literally been bent around a rock, have been restored to their original shape, without cracks or leaks, by the application of heat. Canoeists have dubbed ABS craft "rubber boats" and with good reason. Since the material tends to flex slightly, it is forgiving, tending to slide over rocks, or bounce off them, with little more than a surface scratch. Some of its limitations are marginal buoyancy - it will float when capsized but just barely, so don't expect to climb into a swamped ABS canoe to await rescue, or to hand-paddle it ashore. Also, when wet, the floor of an ABS canoe is slippery, which can prove troublesome in rapids. ABS canoes require little maintenance and can be left outdoors all year - although ones with wooden gunwales and peaks should be propped to avoid ground moisture. ABS canoes also require special epoxy resins for repairs.
