Hi,

This means you have an internal short in the machine control board. There are 2 control boards if you take the console off--- the one on the right is the motor control board and the one on the left is the machine control. The part runs about $200 for the part alone.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

What does the code F1 means?

On Fisher and Paykel.

F1 on a fisher paykel is in fact a water/flooding issue. But in your case you said it was running fine at the old location and now you have problems. Just be sure of a few hings.
1. The drain hose does not rise above the machine.
2. The drain hose doesn't just run straight down from the bottom of the machine.
Make sure your drain hose is mounted at a level that is a little above the middle of the dishwasher. High hoses cause back flow and too low of hoses can cause constant draining.
I think you may be constantly draining the machine. just be sure the hose is positioned correctly let it come from the bottom of the machine rise almost to the top and then back down. in a hump shape. (this should be mounted like this from the factory on the side of the machine but just check to make sure.)
Also be sure your water is on. I know this sounds obvious but it happens more often than people think. The f1 code could be coming from you not getting any water in the machine. There is a water level sensor built into it. and if the water valve is open for a while and then detects no water after a while it will throw the f1 code. mainly because the machine thinks its filling but the water level sensor says its not therefore the machine thinks it is leaking out.
Check your water.
Check your hose.
Check to make sure there isn't anything plugging the hoses.
Check that there isn't any water sitting under your machine by all its motors and wires.
Check that you have it level
If all this checks out good then you may have an actually problem machine. But i think its just fine. You may have just overlooked a step while installing it. get it all adjusted and you'll be golden. Hope this helps you!

Why does a fisher and paykel DD-603 randomly gives f1 code even when not in use

Fault code F1 can come from a number of different sources and can remain on as long as the machine has power (does not need to be operating). Once a fault is repaired it can be cleared by pressing the Power button. If the fault is still present then it will not
clear. The service manual says: The faults are displayed in the LCD as one of 5 F (fatal) faults or 1 U (user) fault along with the symbol of a spanner. A fatal fault will usually require the assistance of a qualified service person...

Fault Code Description:
Fault Code: F1
LED Display: Rinse LED
Fault: The flood switch has been activated for more than six seconds
Possible Causes
_ Inlet hose to inlet valve connection loose
_ Inlet valve body leak
_ Damage to the fill or drain hoses
_ Heater plate damage (chipped enamel)
_ Seals/O Rings (pinched, contaminated or poor join)
_ Dispenser (seal, diverter valve or weld leak)
_ Lid area (lid motors not functioning correctly, lid off yoke or foreign object interfering with lid seal)

Error F1 on sansung dishwasher

F1 fault code is an indication that you have a water leak. Before calling in a professional, try to troubleshoot the problem on your own. Many times it can be something as simple as a leaky hose, a broken seal or a blocked drain hose causing the F1 error.

Additional details and codes in Samsung/DMR57-00026A_EN.pdf

Hope helps.

Fisher and paykel dd-603ss

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin. If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1. Remove the bottom drawer and dry the catch basin.
There are three possible scenarios; 1. Defective lid motor(s)...Each drawer has two lid motors that pull the lid tight to the drawer when the cycle is started. (this was very common on early models) 2. Something too tall was placed in the drawer preventing the lid from closing completely. OR 3. (only seen this once) the drain hose developed a crack causing water to leak only when draining. Hope this helps....
