First issue-won't allow you to drag and drop.
go to the folder where the pictures are on the camera
select one file then hit control A
that should hi-light them all
next hit control C (both keys at the same time)
now click in the window you want the pictures to go to.
hit control V (both keys at the same time)
that should copy your pictures

for the next issue... what is the file format the three letters of the file after the dot

Providing that you're running Vista or XP go to the manufacturers site and input your model number in the "support" section. All software and updates are available at no cost. Now, instead of messing around with Nero,or others like it just save the pix to your picture library and or video library. If your camera software was installed it may be outdated for your system. Also if you haven't already tried, go to your system restore and try to go back to when all was operational. Do this BEFORE downloading the software and updates. Good luck my friend, Dana

Model dc164. How do I view photos without memory card?

That model uses a DVDR/RW type discs plus a memory card (SD, MMC or Sony Memory Sticks). To view photos from the disc simply go into view mode and use the joystick to move to the image you want to view. If you want to transfer images you need the USB cable that came with it and the original software to transfer images from the disc. While capturing video you can snap images but only to a memory card/stick. No card/stick while shooting video, then nothing was captured and the only way you can get any images is transferring a frame(s) from the video using the USB cable and their included software.

Here are links to the manufacturer website where you can still download the software that came with that model and a second link to view/save the manual in PDF format. Information to read in the manual are on pages 95 & 108.

How do I transfer my pictures from the kodak easyshare to the shutterfly gallery? I cannot even transfer my recently added pictures to the Kodak gallery.

If your pictures are in jpg format, you can download Picasa, free from Google at http://picasa.google.com/ and use it to upload your photos. You can also do it using your browser if it handles Flash. If not, use the one by one uploader at Shutterfly. I recommend using Picasa, because it will find all the pictures on your PC and sort them by date. It includes a photo editor and facial recognition too. I would drag all your pictures to the "Pictures" folder to make it easier to work with them.

Olympus camera fe 240

You can transfer the photos directly from the camera to the PC using the USB cable that came with the camera. You don't need to transfer the pics to memory card first.

Connect the cable to the camera and the PC. Turn on the camera and your PC will recognise it as an external storage device. Use the PC's software to transfer the photos from camera to PC.

Once you have the pics on the PC you can use the Olympus Master software included with the camera to edit and archive the photos on the PC.
