Your phone has lost its ability to communicate with the base and the problem could be with the handset or base. You have probably already tried this, but power down and power back up with the handset in the cradle and full charged. If that does not do it, unfortunately repair is needed. Sorry. CG

DECT 6.0 cordless. Why won't it register the handset when placed on the base?

This could be several things.... the simplest is that a weak
handset battery can interfere with registration. Or,
does the handset display say "Connecting..." or
"Searching...." or "Out of Range / no power at base ..." ??

In these cases the handset is registered to another base and
must be de-registered before it can be registered again.

To deregister the handset:

Press and hold the [END] and [ # ] keys at the same time,
after a few seconds the display will say:

"System Reset, Deregister Handset"
press [SELECT]

scroll to "Base Unavailable"
press [SELECT] (chirps) press [END]

display reads "Place in base..." and it should be ready to

Good luck!

You need to reconnect this phone with the "base". If more than one charger came with this set, only one of them is the base. This would be the one connected to the phone line.

Please place it back in the charger that is the base or home unit.

Phone reads searching after being disconected and reconected

If this telephone is part of a multiphone set there is one base that is connected to a phone line (or if Magic Jack the internet cord). The other phone charging seats work by radio signal from the base unit. Place the phone on the base unit and let it reconnect for a few minutes. If you bought this expansion set without already owning a base unit, you will need to get the base unit or take this expansion set back for a unit that will opperate by itself.

Handset says searching

Searching means its searching for a signal. If the phone cant contact the base it will say searching. Make sure the handset is in range of the base and the base is connected to the power.

Handset display reads "searching". No dial tone. No response.

I am sure you have solved this problem by now. For others who might face the same problem...just unplug the batterry of the handset and plug it it works!!:))

Handset flashes "searching" and has stopped working

Did you already try cleaning the connections on the phone and the base with alcohol on a Q-tip? Make sure the connections on the phone are touching the base propely.
