Multiple Displays on HP dv2601TX

It is almost 15-16 months I have been using this laptop. now it has started showing a new problem, ie, multiple displays. I have searched throughout the internet and have found that many other people with the same model laptop have similar or exactly the same issue. I have also found that the problem is related to the NVIDIA graphics chip. The problem has occurred due to over heating of the system throughout the time period (overheating is yet another problem of this model). The only practical solution possible is to get the graphics card repaired or replaced with new one (which is very costly).And it would be better if you guys get it repaired from local technicians as this issue is not considered under your guarantee and HP will cost you a lot.Apart from this another fact remains that HP Service is one of the worst service I have come across in my entire life. It is their hobby to test your patience and waste your time. It took them two months to replace my battery. Anyways, even if you get it repaired, there is a chance of re-occurrence of this issue. Well, my idea is to sell off this system once i get it temporarily repaired, as i think, there is no use of spending a huge amount on an outdated laptop. Well the choice is yours !
