The wobbling is most likely caused from the blades being out of balance. This could be from something striking the blades while it was spinning, from an accumulation of dust on the top of the blades or from one of the nuts and bolts used to attach the blades to the brackets falling out. To re-balance them first clean them thoroughly and replace any missing hardware. Then using a step ladder get at eye level with the blades and spin them by hand. You are watching for two things. The first thing is the angle of the blades. The second is the height of the blades. Locate any that are misaligned with the others and mark them with a piece of tape. To realign a blade find a hand hold on the body of the light\fan below the blades with one hand and with the other, grab the blade close to the end attached to the metal bracket and gently bend it back in alignment. You don't have to use a lot of force to bend and\or twist it. Just use trial and error until it looks right. Now turn the fan on and check your progress. It may take a couple tries to get it right.
As for the switch......Are you referring to a broken chain pull or the actual internal switch. If it's the internal switch then it is possible to replace it however it would require the unit to be taken down off the ceiling to get at the interior. A new switch can be purchased at most hardware stores. But you will need to have the old one for comparison.
Hope this helps.

On a 2007 lincoln navigator the a/c fan motor will not shut off. the fan adjustment bars are showing slower but still the fan is on high

The fan speed reostat is broken or the switch itself is bad. Try replacing the switch first because the motor speed reostat is part of the motor itself. $$$

High speed wobble

Speed wobbles can be caused by incorrectly adjusted steering head bearings. If the wobble comes in at the same speed on a straight road then look at wheel balancing as it may be a wheel hop you are feeling and not a wobble. Speed wobbles is when bike starts moving left to right to left and so on. Balance problems is when an up/down vibration is felt and always at the same speed. Another problem can be that the fairing support brackets inside the fairing have broken. This is a common fault on Harleys and there is an updated part when replacing them. I repair them by Tig welding and beefing up the area where they crack. If the fairing seems to be vibrating excessively at idle and you can move it then check this for sure.

I am thinking you are on the right track. A noisy, wobbly fan has to be replaced and replacing the thermostat could reduce the fan speed as the problems are interrelated.

Fan only wobbles on high....recently 'bumped'

Check all your screws especially the set screw at top of fan that goes into rod. Blades could be warped from the water. Ball of fan not set in bracket correctly. When your buying a fan, look for blade pitch.13 degree or better is best. You shouldn't have to use the fan on high unless it's a low-end fan with a low blade pitch. It's costing you more money to run the fan on high. Sorry to get so preachy, I'm a fan dealer .

Casablanca Delta II fan wobbles terribly at high speed. How can this be fixed?

Hello,
Use the fan regulator to adjust the speed of the fan, and if it does not adjust the speed, then you have to replace the fan regulator.
Good luck...

New fan with downrod wobbles when on high speed and low speed. Does not wobble on medium speed. How do I stop the wobble completely?

Measure from the same spot on the ceiling to the outer most tip of each blade (by rotating to the tape). The distance should be the same, if not check fan blade screws for tightness. You might have to bend the fan blade brackets a little to get the same measurements, if the screws are all tight. If all this lokks good, you might to use a balancing kit...just follow the instructions...it's not too bad to do

does the fan wobble at high speed? if so change the order of the blades to try & balance it.i.e. number the blades on a piece of tape on each--switch blade # 1 & #3-better or worse? 2&5;better or worse?etc. untill it runs smoothest.

Very noisy operation

Yes....this will throw than fan unit out of balance almost the same way the tires on your car get out of balance. The wobble effect at high speed makes tons of noise.
