I was able to un-install the software, but can't get it re-installed....

    I have a Mac OS X

    Thanks

The USB port I had the printer plugged into must be 'bad'. It was plugged in a TECHGEAR 4 port hub, not in the back of my computer. It's been in that port for awhile, do you know why this problem would have developed?

When I plugged the printer into the usb port on the back of my Mac, it worked. Prior to moving the plug into the other port, the download would not work...

The issue could also be due to bad USB Cable. You need to check the cable if the cable is fine then its definetely the port which needs to be replaced.

I have a Canon printer. Whenever pictures or text gets a double or blurry image I open the printer solutions menu. It sounds as though there is a problem with inkjet alignment. By clicking the realignment button the printer will automatically realign the jets. I usually test the alignment by printing a page from that program. All the line segments should line up.

Region codes for France for a photosmart c3180 all in one

Well I had the exact same problem with a C3180 bought in the USA and I moved to France. I called the HP tech support and after I bought 5 brand new cartridges upon their recommendation we haven't been able to print the 10 tap test page

I recommend that you try doing that before you call them otherwise you will be wasting your time

To print the 10 tap test page you need to press simultaneously CANCEL and START COLOR COPY. I couldn't print the 10 tap test page because the printer will not recognize the cartridges bought in France (START COLOR COPY and START BLACK COPY blinking + E in front of COPIES)

If somebody knows an alternate method to print the 10 tap test page, please share it as this is the blocking point with HP support

Thanks

HP Photosmart C3180 prints a solid black line left side of paper ONLY when you COPY. When you print from computer, it prints just fine. It is only from COPY mode that the solid black line appears.Already...

Unfortunately, your C3180 printer needs some repairs done to it or you . A section of the printing arm that does the printing is faulty. This happened to me and apart from replacing the arm (at considerable cost) I purchased a new printer at a much cheaper cost. You can use your faulty printer for printing from the computer but not for copying or scanning. MG

Unable to add a functioning (second) printer, for greyscale.

Clicked on Start/Control Panel/PrinterI. Clicked Add a printer. Obtained (Copy 1) of my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one printer. Right clicked on (Copy 1)/properties. Opened Ports tab. Saw comment "Print to the following Ports. Documents will print to the first free checked port." A listed USB Virtual printer port, showed three printers -- my first printer, my copy 1 (& my fax printer) -- was unchecked. I placed a checkmark in this Port box. Both the original printer, and my copy 1 printer are printing just fine. *I have not checked to verify that my fax is functional.
I did rename the original "color". I renamed Copy 1 as "grayscale", and --under printer preferences, checked, under "color options", to print in greyscale.

HP Officejet J5780 All-In-One Won't print double sided with Vista

You can install an instance of the Deskjet 6500 series drivers using "Add Printer", local printer, (use the same port the J5780 is installed on). You can have this co-exist with the J5780 driver and you could name it J5780 Duplex if you wish.

PRINTING IN BLACK ONLY

My solution would be stop typing in caps so I won't hesitate to help you, but my solution is to just buy the ink cartridges or get an old, black only printer instead of a $120.00 HP All-In-One c3180. I have one and I cant use it for some reason, but I'm trying to get it to work desperately...
