Question about Washing Machines
I have a Simpson Eziset 550 which has developed a smelly-drain type smell which appears to eminate from the agitator - note that I clean the filter after each wash. I have used Epsom Salts and also a dishwasher tablet on the hot cycle (no clothes in, fill and agitate for 30mins, leave overnight, finish cycle) but while the dishwasher tablet was the most effective the smell returns. I was going to try and remove the agitator to see if there is any blockage under it but there is a bolt at the bottom and I'm not sure if it holds the agitator in or not. Any ideas appreciated. Phil
Pour a few litres of vinegar in the machine on low level of water and do a wash with no clothes in it. should clean tub and drain hose

Two suggestions, First I would check the drain hose located in back of washer totally clean out and put back. You also could try and use Iron Out through a complete cycle.
