Just looking at the picture of the powersupply and its wires. The 24pin connector goes to the mainboard and also the 4 pin, YeLLOW / BLACK wires. go into the 4 pin slot on the mainboard (CPU connector)

Rest go to your hard drives, etc.

If you need further assistance then I Need to know the brand and model of the mainboard.

Motherboard replace processor cpu i have an hp pavilion a820n tower with no cpu or power supply can u tell me what kind i need?

the processor to fit the mobo is a pentium 4 socket 775. the original was a 3.2G according to the HP website.
most standard 500 watt power supplies should fit.
it does concern me why there is no processor or power supply in it though.
are you sure the mobo is ok? the only reason I would think these parts have been removed is because the mobo is dead and they've been transplanted into something else.

No the mobo is compatible with the Power Supply, and GPU.
And vice-versa.

Mainboard fan???????
You mean the Processor (CPU) fan?

I'm guessing I guess, because computer case fans aren't on the motherboard/mainboard/mobo.
(MOtherBOard)

You're getting power to the mobo, but the question is how much?

1) IF ALL of the LED lights were on at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.

2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

3) A typical Processor can use from 51 to 125 Watts of power.
Just depends on what Processor it is.

http://206.108.48.60/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=363&tab=1

The mobo will support Intel Core2 Quad-Core processors. Depending on which one, you may be talking about Up To 105 Watts of power,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_2_microprocessors#Quad-Core_Desktop_processors

This is why LED's can light, and fans may spin, but the Processor isn't getting enough power, so the computer will not turn on. (Processor isn't turning on)

Why?

1) Just because that Power Supply is new, doesn't mean it is good.
Sometimes you get a bad one. Test the three main voltages coming out, with a multimeter set to DC Voltage.

Need guidance post back in a Comment.
(An economical multimeter can be purchased, for as little as $8 to $12. I have seen cheaper. Available in a multitude of stores. An auto parts store is but one example )

2) You don't have the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable plugged in.
Goes to the white square 4-socket hole connector, to the left top corner of the Processor socket.
(Motherboard installed in computer case)

3) REQUIRES -> TWO 6-pin PCI-Express power cables, for the Nvidia GTX560Ti graphics card.

The Antec HCG750 PSU has 4 of them, so no problem there, IF you have two of them plugged into the graphics card.

Both connectors of the 20 + 4-pin ATX main power cable's connector, need to be used. Biostar mobo requires a 24-pin ATX main power cable.

Post back in a Comment as to power cables plugged in, and DC Voltage test on PSU.

Green light flashing on compaq presario - computer will not turn on

You may have a 12V ATX line (6 wires) that needs to be connected to the mobo in addition to the main power (about 20 wires). Make sure they are both connected - try again.
Remove 1 stick of memory - try again.
Swap the stick you removed with the other stick and try again.
Unplug the power switch wires from the header on the mobo - try again - make sure you write down where each wire goes. Try again.
Swap the power supply with another ATX to see if it is the power supply (PS fail more than mobos due to dust buildup).

CAC-T05-UW .what are the brand ,model and features of the power supply compatible with it

This type of power supply is best one:

The eXtreme Power Plus RS-460-PMSP-A3 from Cooler Master pushes out 460W of power to handle your system's thirst for juice. It is compliant with the newest Intel ATX 12V v2.3 specifications so it is a great choice for both replacements and new builds.

There are plenty of connectors for all your system add-ons including 5 Molex and 3 SATA. There is also a PCIe connector for your advanced video card. The +12V output duties are divided between two 18A rails for plenty of balanced power.

hope it helps, if so do rate

Power keeps shuting off while installing Windows XP (remaining 20 mins) 1) ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD 2) AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 3) G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB)...

It sounds like some-thing is overheating, an over stressed power supply or poor ventilation could be your problem.

See your power supply is Max 300W that's peak not continuous power output. I think it will only be able to continuously output around 250W of power. Which is below specifications for your computer mainboard.

The Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus range of Power supply's are an excellent choice.
I would recommend a 460Watt with 120mm fan at least.

Cooler master extreme duo psu + Acer Nvidia MCP73 mobo

No it will not. The motherboard has voltage regulators which correctly distributes voltage through the integrated circuits to the chips/capacitors/etc. that need power. The only reason you would need a stronger PSU with more output wattage would be if you had lots of internal parts that drew a lot of power (such as 4-way SLi cards with power adapters plugged in, sound card, 4 hard drives, 4 optical drives, TV tuner, lots of fans, etc.). A setup like the one I just described would probably need at least a 750 watt PSU. But in any case, you could have a 2000000 watt PSU and it would not fry the board due to the reasons above.

Fans run at full speed under normal task.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CPU AND MB AND PSU IS NOT COOLING OFF ENOUGH AND CAUSING THE FAN TO RUN ON HIGH ALL THE TIME, THE PSU MAY NOT HAVE ENOUGH WATTS POWER TO RUN THE CONFIGURATION TO KEEP THE SYSTEM AND HARDWARE TO COOL.

I READ IT IN ONE OF MY PC MAGAZINE, ANOTHER PERSON UPRADED SYSTEM, ADDED SOME OTHER STUFF BUT THE MB AND POWER SUPPLY UNIT DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH WATTS TO SUPPORT BASIC REQUIREMENTS OPERATING THE SYSTEM BASIC NEEDS.
FIND SOFTWARE THAT KEEPS EYE ON HEAT ISSUES, MB, VIDEO CARD, RAM, PS, CPU, CPU COOLERS, NIC CARDS, SOUND CARDS,
ETC.
EACH PART REQUIRES SO MUCH POWER
AND HERE HOW IT BRAKE DOWN FOR EACH COMPONET

MB 20-35+ WATTS
CD ROM 20-25 WATTS
DVD 30-45 WATTS
DISK DRIVE 5 WATTS
HD 5-15 WATTS
STANDARD VIDEO VARD 5-15 WATTS
MEMORY 5 WATTS PER MB

NEW SYSTEMS WITH THE FOLLOWING STUFF IN IT FLOPPY DRIVE,CD-ROM, MB, 16MB RAM, REQUIRES A MIN. 150 WATTS OF POWER.

BUT I KNOW YOU MAY HAVE TOP OF THE LINE VIDEO CARD WITH GGR4 WITH 512MB
MEMORY, 2-8 GIG OF RAM, 23 INCH LCD MONITOR, 2 500GB HD, BLUETOOTH AND WIRELESS NETORK, AND WIFI CAPABILITIES,
NEW DUAL CORE CPU TOP LINE MOTHERBOARD, COOLED VIDEO CARD,RAM COOLER ALSO AND THIS SYSTEM POWER WATTAGE REQUIREMENTS MAYBE SOME WHERE AROUND 400-600 WATT, AND MOST OF THAT IS FOR THE SYSTEM RAM AND THE VIDEO RAM YOU ARE RUNNING
REMEMBER 5 WATTS PER 1 MEGABYTE OF
RAM
IT WILL ADD UP FAST BOY'S AND GAL'S

ROD

PS I HOPE I DIDNT BORE ANYONE,
IT MAY SAVE YOUR SYSTEM FROM BURNING UP.
