The only problem you could possibly run into is if your remote has only one button for the on/off function of the light kit. Because if you push the light button and only one light gets the signal you will have one light on and one light off, then when you push the button again one will turn on and one will turn off, so getting them both on or off again can be pretty frustrating. But if your remote has seperate on/off buttons you have nothing to worry about.

Will this remote take care of my ceiling fan #99500

most ceiling fans run at certain frequency around 2.5khz
i do have sound bar that can run my floor fan,
go to local hardware store with fan information and they sale most remotes there and the remotes need to be programmed most of the time depending what features you fan has.
my fans has 3 speeds, led light remote turn on and off, pull chain turn fan light off or on, forward and reverse modes

Hunter fan works light broken

Check to make sure light wires are connected at light kit & remote. Otherwise it's probably a bad receiver. If there is a pull chain for the light pull it once & try the remote light button again.

The remote went bad, this is very common. These are great fans with poor design and cheap remotes. Go to Lowe's buy the new kit ( model: RCE-103LW) $30 bat included. Put battery in and turn off light switch. Have a bic pen ready with the battery cover off. Turn on light switch and press "learn" red button with the pen . You will have to hold it down for about 5 secs. The fan will the turn on medium if it took to learning the new remote. All buttons should now work normal. Return old remote to store for exchange they have a 1year return to to store warenty per the company rep. Anyother problems call 1 800 527 1292. They have good cust. Service.

10.27.09 - Ceiling Fan Light Kit not Working.

the remote does control the light. i think it's the bottom button, once to turn it on, again to turn it off. there should have been a blue wire connected in to the wires in the ceiling, this is power for the light. if only the white, black, and copper are connected, the light part won't work but the fan will (usually)

I am unable to turn the light off using the fan remote, the fan itself using the remote works fine. the only thing I can get the lights to do with the remote is dim.

Unfortunately, you either have a faulty reciever or remote. A replacement will cost $30-$40 at home depot. And it doesn't matter which is faulty because you can't purchase them seperately anyhow.

You must use the switch on the fan itself.
