Main Power Board is damaged, you have to replace but it´s an expensive part maybe the best is to buy a new TV

There are 7 caps on the power supply board that probably need to be replaced. I just fixed one that powered up, had sound but the screen blinked by doing this.

I have a 19 inch sanyo hdtv dp19647 , but no remote. I grabbed the first universal that i had lying around and used the search for code mode. I found the code real quick. I think that you can probably use any universal remote. But you may have to do the searh if it does not supply a choice of codes for your particular hdtv I hope that this is helpful.

My Sanyo HD TV power light comes on but no picture and no sound.

Fault with the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be on a separate board, or on the part of its main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Sanyo DP19647 HD picture, but no sound

Check whether it works on the headphone. If it does not, look for any jammed button on remote. If that is ok, the set might need attention by a qualified service technician. In order not to miss the Olympics, connect the audio out to any other amplifier either from the TV (if it works) or from the set top box.

Green light blinks but no sound no picture

Power surge will knock out picture and sound if you don't have a power strip. Found out from Best Buys when purchasing another LCD TV. They have a warrenty against such problems.
