I have the original IPad someone put a 4 diget lock on it and i locked myself out.I had to factory reset but now it says I need a puk code.where do I get one

The best choice would go to your friendly apple store.

Don't try to guess your SIM PIN. To many wrong guesses can permanently lock your SIM card, which means that you would need a new SIM card.

How to put pin codes to lock others from accessing info

Select the "Menu" option from the main screen on the phone.

  • 2 Click the option for "Settings" and then "Security Settings."
  • 3 Scroll to and select "Change access codes."
  • 4 Scroll to and click "Change PIN code."
  • 5 Type in the current PIN code. The default code is either 1234 or 0000 (four zeros).
  • 6 Select the "OK" option to confirm.
  • 7 Type in a new PIN code of your choice and select "OK." Remember this password for future use. If you lose it and need to change the PIN code again, you will have to completely reset the phone, which may cause you to lose all data.
  • 8 Type in the new PIN code again to confirm that you entered it correctly.
  • 9 Click the option to "Save" and then "OK" to confirmation when a message appears.

Needing to get into my motorola i776 . somehoe when i turned on my sim pin lock it says i am not putting in the correct unlock code and it says it will lock me out of my phone. how can i either reset the...

You should contact your network as if you eneter the wrong code too many times, it damages the sim and you will probly have to end up buying a new one. I did this exact thing on my phone. Ring especially if it starts asking for an PUK code.

    Phone lock

If you can't wait, enter the following code at startup:

    star 2767 star 2878 hash
    -Does a CUSTOM RESET

    If that doesn't reset the PIN;
    star 2767 star 3855 hash
    -Does a FULL RESET

MAKE SURE THE PHONE IS FULLY CHARGED!
BACK-UP YOUR NUMBERS TO SIM AND FILES TO MEMORY STICK!

If you are asked for a PIN, it'll be 0000.

Otherwise, if you don't mind waiting or if that doesn't work, contact your netowrk service provider with your IMEI number (Star Hash 06 Hash) and ask for your PUK code.

Enter the wrong PIN three times, then enter your PUK when prompted. You should now be able to enter a new PIN and/or disable the option.

    Default security code?

    Hello keith g670,
his will also bring the phone to default settings
    1. First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# (star 2767 star 2878 hash)
    turn off the phone

    2. take out the battery and sim and put non-network SIM and insert it half way only,
so it won't ask for network password and when it shows "Insert SIM" message.
Only then fully insert the sim without removing battery or turning it off (tip: use a pin to push the sim in)

Now put the battery ,and switch the phone on .(phone shows "Insert SIM" message.)

3.With out turn off the phone push the sim fully in. At this stage the phone is still asking to "Insert SIM"

    4. Make a FULL reset by typing: *2767*3855#(star 2767 star 3855 hash)

    5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside.

    6. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#(star 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros star 8zeros hash)

    7. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000#(hash 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros hash)
Phone is unlocked (check with *#7465625#)

    Tried and tested OK

I need the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. Type this code in your phone to get it: *#06# you can also find it beneath the battery.
I also need to know the make and model of phone, the network that the phone is locked on, and the country the network is from. Then I will give you the codes. If this is what you want.

    SIM pin code:
This is a pin code that locks the sim card until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even
if your sim is put into another handset. To reset it, you need the PUK code:
    Pin Unlock Code (PUK)
If you miss key (or forget) your SIM pin code, and enter the wrong one 3-5 times in a row, the SIM will lock up, and you’ll need to enter the PUK unlock code to release it. You should ask your Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don’t try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled.
    Phone Security Code:
This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets to only accept a “new” sim if the phone security code is entered. To reset it, you need the Master code code:
    Master Reset Code
Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security Code wrongly too many times.

    Special Code/Service Provider Lock Code:
This code is required to allow a phone locked to a particular network's SIM cards to be used with a SIM card from another network. The unlock code varies from individual Handset to Handset, and Network to Network.
Which is the one that you want?
