I don't have enough water pressure to make cofee. Very little water comes out of the shower head. The shower head is clean, it is not plugged. I suspect it is the pump? Please advise

I had the same problem: clean showerhead, machine pumps hot water just fine, but very little brewhead flow. Descale made it worse but that was a big clue! I took apart the brewhead and found grains of scale in the boiler, like pulverized beach shell:

Some of those bits apparently made their way into the three way valve and clogged it. I could not blow air through the channel between the plunger and the boiler. Not surprising: the inlet hole inside the valve is TINY and clogs easily.a0bc8304-2405-4fdb-a444-21cf80e7701a.jpg
Once I got this part cleared up inside (and cleaned out the rest of the scale from my boiler so it didn't immediately re-clog!), my brew flow was restored.

I had the same issue. what fixed it for me was doing a backflugh. after back flashing 10 times stopping and going for 2 seconds apart fixed the pressure issue very little water was coming out for me. i used the pressurized basket and stuffed cardboard paper inside and in the portafilter and backflushed many times now my gaggia works like new i even get 2oz per 30seconds pulls. i wish i didnt backflush before i also cleaned the brew head assembly used allen wrench 13mm to took off the hole basket but mine was like new because of not a lot of use .

Sounds like it needs a descale.
Scale and build up restricts water flow causing low pressure.

Little used shower system (rain head, hand held and body nozzles) now has very reduced pressure. was fine 6 months ago when last used.

Pull it apart and see if the flow restrictor is plugged in the water inlet to the shower head.

CLOGGED SHOWER HEAD - HOW TO CLEAN

You can dip a shower head and CLR or Oxsee clean. You can do it the old-fashioned way and use a needle or a small nail and clean out every little hole or you can run high-pressure water through the opposite end of the showerhead. Little carbon and gasket material finds its way through your screens and filters into your house and comes through your showerhead clogging it. if you can get those clogs out by simply running water backwards through it, you might solve your problem, but you must take it off to do this. simply's unscrew it counterclockwise. it should come off remember to use thread tape to put it back on and make sure the rubber gasket is also inside

Not enough pressure

I would suggest not enough pressure. If the hand shower is connected to the taps then pressure would be the problem as the water comes from the tank in the loft fed by gravity. Solution is a power shower.

My American Standard R120 shower valve has excellent pressure on the cold side, no pressure on the hot side.

Could be a chunk of scale in the valve. Need to turn off water supply and take valve apart. If nothing is found, turn water supply on to give line a 'quick' flush and turn back off. If this does not help, you probably have an obstruction somewhere in the hot supply line and a plumber may be needed unless you are handy. Good luck.

M delta 174939-ss-i shower has no pressure just a trickle of water comes out. I have full pressure at tub and sink in bathroom, just not in shower which a stand alone shower.

Hello Mark
is the water still coming out the bottom when you pull up the lever to make the shower come on ? if it is then the tub valve is bad . if little or no water come out of the bottom then the head is going to be clogged and you have have buildup inside the filter /screen which could be located in the end of the hose at the head or inside the head unit itself. .

Little water comes out my shower head when I take a shower, should I call a plumber, or is this something that I can fix myself?

remove the shower head. and if the water flows normal, its a clogged up shower head. if takeing a shower and the diverter valve goes bad. water will come out of the spout. check out shower head to see if its clogged. sometimes you can soak the head in a good cleaner and it helps it. but if its the showerhead thats plugged. you can always put a new one on also. good-day !

Verify the height from the shower valve to the Shower head, the instructions specify the correct distance if it is too short the pressure could be getting up to the shower head.

Perhaps the water pressure it too high at the valve not allowing all the water down the faucet outlet, there are set screws on the sides of the shower valve to adjust the water allowed in the mixing chamber.

Something is restricting the water flow to the faucet, creating enough pressure to send some of the ater supply up to the shower.

I hope some of these ideas help
