Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player
My 30GB 5th gen ipod video is still able to play music and video stored on it, and will still charge, but it cannot connect to any kind of computer. What hardware component is damaged?
I have tried restarting, reinstalling itunes, changing computers, but nothing helps.
You should try using a different USB cable as it's very possible the cable is damaged. If that's not the problem, the logic board is probably defective and you can either replace it if you're comfortable enough opening your iPod or sell the iPod listing the defects on eBay.
