P.T. cruiser hatch all of a sudden wont stay up 20min.latter.

Get your heater core checked. May be leaking.

when the weather turns cold as in winter it takes long for the engine to get to operating temp and stay there. as such the injectors stay on longer and dump more fuel to run the car as compared to the summer when its hot out. another thing how long has it been since you changed the thermostat as it may need replacing.

Coolant temp sensor? These can be tested in cold, then hot water to see range of resistance.

Check under drivers seat, the immobilizer could be full of water.
easy to remove and dry out.

Have the cold start fuel inkector checked for flow.

Suddenly the fans stayed on and the weather does not work, it's hot or cold

if it has hydraulic supports, they may be failing
especially when hot or cold

Those little shocks are gas charged, thus pressure increases in hot, and decreases in cold. Over the years they tend to seep, or leak a bit, thus, only work good in warm/hot weather. They have replacement ones at autoparts stores, and shouldn't be too expensive.

I hadn't had the car that long. Didn't know about the switch on steering column that makes park lights stay on. while I was cleaning it, I must have hit it. Anyway, problem solved, Thanks for your help.
