80 Series Gas Dryer - No Heat. All other parts

check outside drye vent where it goes through the wall they clog up with lint sometimes and force the escaping warm air to back up which causes sensor to give wrong reading if this is clogged just clear it till you feel the air coming through also check vent at bottom of dryer disconnect flex pipe and check for clogs there as well ..and always clear lint trap after every load

Kenmore Electric Dryer Series 80 Model

Disconnect the dryer from your vent completely,. pull dryer out 3 ft. from wall and test to see if the smell continues, You have to test for a few minutes to clear out any burning lint from vent restrictions. If the smell hoes away then you know you have venting problems. Also check on the grate that covers the element( the part you look through when you see the orange glow from the element) sometimes plastic or clothing burns onto this grate and needs to be cleaned off. I the smell remains, you will have to tear down the dryer to see if you can find the cause of the smell.

Not drying clothes - have heat and tumble but probably not air Kenmore 80 series dryer.

Your vent is clogged. Remove hose from back of dryer and wall. vacuum out back of dryer, dryer hose an vent pipe in wall, if it goes out at roof you will need to clean out. Moisture from dryer is getting caught in excess lint trapped in vent causing dryer not to dry.

What do you do if the silver coil behind the dryer comes disconnected

I'm assuming you're referring to the exhaust hose. If it's an electric dryer, just unplug it and pull the dryer away from the wall and reattach the exhaust hose using the the hose clamp. Make sure it's good and tight before you place it back into position. Plug it in and you're good to go.

If it's a gas dryer, you need to be much more careful. I'd recommend having a qualified tech or handyman do this. You don't want a gas leak. They will know the proper steps involved in disconnecting and reconnecting the gas line so the exhaust hose can be reattached.

Sporatically slow cold water fill (Kenmore Series 80)

Could be you have trapped the hose at the rear of the m/c.
If this is not the case, then I suspect you will need a new cold inlet valve fitting..
Please leave feedback.
