Question about Samsung Refrigerators
Samsung fridge RB2055SL Door open bell is ringing even though the door is closed. I've checked for obstruction, cleaned the rubber tubing and the edges on the fridge opening. The temp has risen to 51 and now the light doesn't come on when the door is opened, Help! I have 8 racks of ribs in there and 45 people coming for a party. Not to mention the door open beeping is driving me nuts.

SOURCE: Fridge/freezer beeping
There is a lever switch usually above the door (when door is in open position) on the fridge cabinet. Not on the actual door. The beeping should stop if this lever is pressed. If the door is positioned correctly it would depress this lever when closed. It may be that the door adjustment is slightly out. If the beeping does not stop when depressed, then your printed circuit board (located usually above the door) is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Pull on the gaskets some times they are broken and will take up moore room that when correctly aligned. especially on the side of the door where the hinges are. Inspect thehinges also see of brackets are loose. If the gasket is bunched up on the hinge side try duct taping them down and retry the door. If this corrects problem replace door gaskets. If a plastic grommet is missing in the door it will nolt align correctly and you will be able to pick up on the outer corner of the door and it will wobel and be loose on the hinge. ReplACE THE GROMETS and retest and align as nessary.

I had this exact same problem. I replaced the PCB on the freezer. Cost approximately $100.00. Problem solved. No flashing door light, no fluctuations in temperature. YAY.

I asked about the beep beep beep and the fact the upper refridgerator section not working. I even called Samsung. They could offer no ideas. Then, I followed the suggestions offered by several people, remove the door closed push buttons, That was the solution. After 24 hours of beeping every 2 minutes I was going insane. I have my senses back and saved on what would have been a costly service call. Thank you. mikecleaver
