Question about Everex StepNote NC1500 Notebook
Is your Boot ROM set to allow booting from CD?
Have you tried to boot from another bootable CD, like the Window install disk, a game, a linux install disk, etc? If you can, your drive is at least operable. Check that you don't have the option of retoring from a partition (usually hidden, but seen by the restore program). At that point I would contact Everex for a new CD restore disk (get your proof of purchase and serial info out).
For future reference, please always backup your restore partition as outlined in your user guide, using HIGH QUALITY MEDIA, and do it TWICE! CDs sooner or later ALWAYS fail.
