Question about GE WWSE5200B Top Load Washer
I noticed that the white load wasn't clean and after close attention I found out that the agitation spiral is not working (no agitation, the load sets there and nothin is happening). The spiral part inside the washer is rotating both ways freely and I believe it should not! May be a large load earlier broke the "hold" for this spiral and it is loose. It is not coming out, it is still in its original place and free to rotate as montioned both ways. Other than that nothing seems broken in the machine. It works excellent: soak, rinse, spins!
My question is what is broken; why isn't it working? How can I fix it?
How can remove this agitation plastic spiral to further locate if any thing is broken?
I appreciate your assistance.
It is a cast aluminum peice below the agitaror that costs about $50.00 from GE.

It is a "trany" problem...just buy a new washer or it is a plastic cap inside that spiral part, that cap have groves...it is maybe goes bad....
GE as a brand has a lot of problem with washers, dryers, microwaves and fridges...and dishwashers so try to stay away of repairing or buying a new GE....
