Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I hooked my PS3 yo to my tv and plugged it into my wall. When I put the 3 cords into the TV, there was a loud pop, and smoke started to come out of the yellow cord jack on the tv. I think it was a power surge. I plug my PS3 into another outlet and it turns on and seems to work fine, however, there is no picture. Any ideas?
Hi there try using the ps3 as audio-cd play(blind, without screen)
with any other tv to make sure soun still is coming...
if there was a flash or circuit destroyíng the yellow(video)plug,
either the cable has been destroyed or the short backfired even into the video module of the psx3.
try exchanging the cable, if that doesn't do any good, the video module got smoked...
let a technician repair/replace it or you think about becoming the happy owner of another brand new psx3
